Right now my job sucks ass. I'm rebuilding a failed accounting and finance department. It really blows man. But once the rebuild is done, it will be my team and my processes, so there will be an eventual pay-off starting q1 2023.

8/10 for me. I'm a Quality Engineer for a large corporation, work remote. Direct managers are awesome, extremely flexible and independent. Solid Pay.
Only negative is I'm limited because I don't have my college degree, they used different employment "bands" like A, AA, B, BB, ect. They still have that mentality that going to college = intelligence.

Cyber Security for a big corpo.
Work from home, 4x10 schedule so I get 3 days long weekends, make $110k base but gross $150k+ by end of the year due to bonuses and overtime. The job in itself is juicy and fun, always neat to get insight into cyber stuff around the world, employees doing dumb bad things, etc. My role now is currently more of an investigations and support role. My previous role, I used to be what's called an "incident commander," having to lead big picture meetings with a bunch of high level stakeholders, made me anxious and sweat bullets sometimes srs. Feels like I got promoted to do less work honestly.
I won't call it 10/10 because the job is still fairly new to me, and I have suspicions I might be asked to do some anxiety inducing stuff down the road, including presentations in front of scary high level people.

Manage a construction company specializing in water based high end cottages.
Pros, I run the place, am salary, live 300 yards from work, can keep my boat at the marina, get gas etc at cost, drive around in a boat or hovercraft all day, etc.
Cons, stress, can't make real money cuz I'm not owner, have basically responsibilities of owner

-Work from home, travel to the jobsites 1-2x/month....Closest are 2 hour drive 1 way...farthest are on the West coast...I live East Coast.
-Make GREAT money for the area I live. Miami based company, pays Miami Salary. Making 3x the average household income here.
-2.5 Busy weeks/month, 1.5 "down" week.
Busy Weeks are super stressful, very demanding, almost impossible deliverable dates, I'm usually working 11-12 hour days sitting at a computer.
Down Weeks drive me nuts b/c I feel unproductive and if I'm not working on any projects around the house I get bored and I hate having nothing to do.
Cant really complain though. I'm old enough to know that "the grass is always greener" and I've pretty much hit peak Pro/Con ratio for where I am in life right now.

I will have to give it two separate scores:
9/10 for the careers itself
5/10 for the company & some of the team members (and that's being generous)
I work as a Sterile Processing Technician - career is nice, hospital so good benefits & its not that hard on the body as the most I have to lift is 50 pounds.

Tube and fitting Scaffolder, in Britain a skilled trade
Pros:
Very easy to start and learn on the job, short working days, regular overtime, incredibly easy to start on new firm, leave work at work, fit in with collegues, great laugh, no hr, sometimes very easy money getting paid basically for being in attendance, can be a lot of fun, get paid to workout, work and see behind the scenes in interesting places and landmarks, Great views. Sometimes brain stimulating coming up with solutions and engineering things off your head. Danger can be fun
Cons: hard manual labour, repetitiveness, poor office staff and accrediting bodies. Dirty, dusty, often severe danger to you or potential for you or others to cause serious harm. Pay caps out at £60-70k unless you go on the rigs or get in with the film studios, or work nights on railways etc
