Happy Birthday Layne Staley RIP

His birthday was yesterday so I screwed up, but here is my tribute anyways. He is truly missed. I listen to his music all of he time. His voice was amazing, not to mention he was gorgeous inside and out.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know this was about Demri Parrott, his fiancé who died of complications from heroin. A lot of people have animosity towards her as they blame her for Layne's addiction.

Get Born Again sounds Toolesque. I know Maynard and Layne were friends.

Yeah Layne was in bad shape near the end and the loss of his teeth affected his voice. Heroin is a bitch.

Me too, I found a lot of his lyrics relatable and I think he’s the greatest singer of all time.

William Duvall doesn’t have 10% of the talent that Layne did. Nobody can replace Layne but they could have gotten someone better than Duvall.

There were so many times I felt down in a hole with a teen daughter. Now we get along but it was a rough 4 years. I had AIC CDs in the 90s but it's my daughter who got me back into them as she started playing Nirvana from her room, and then I remembered how much I enjoyed grunge but I enjoyed AIC the most and I don't really consider them a "grunge" band now. I feel like they were more hard rock. I'm sure the record company pushed the grunge status since that was big at the time.

Haha I have to disagree with you there, but with music we all have different taste. I just saw Imagine Dragons and he has an amazing voice. Stevie Nicks has a great voice. So did Chris Cornell. I can go on.
