What three lift total is the bar for being considered respectable?
Memes aside I feel its 500 pounds for bench, squat and deadlift
I know everybody on misc claims a 2000+ pound total but in real life 500 pounds is probably where somebody is stronger than the non-lifters
My one rep maxes:
135lb bench
185lb squat
185lb deadlift
505lb total
Keep in mind my weight is between 139lb dieting and 155lb bulkmode so my three lift total is over 3x my bodyweight

Nobody irl cares how much you lift. Srs. Not saying you shouldnt care, as you can use it as a measurement of progress. Just something to remember after the second or third time you get a lifting injury.

Squat - 1048 for 3 reps
Bench - 600 single
Deadlift - doesn’t matter
These^^^ are the bare minimum for being respectable/able to tell people “you lift” etc.

Lol typical internet response itt people claiming nfl level lifts as minimum to be considered respectable
Lifting on misc is like manlet meme on misc, in reality the true cutoff is 5’7” or under but miscers claim 6’3”+ as cutoff, I’m 5’6” so yes I’m probably a manlet but barely irl

Also helps when miscers back up their numbers
Spoiler!
I'd say my theoretical max total in my prime was like 1,420 at 185 lb. I consider north of 1,000 lb. to be respectable at my size.

When you're natural you have a limited work capacity. Starting back day with deadlifts makes no sense as you fatigue yourself before you even get to the exercises that actually work your back.If you're natty you have to get stronger to make progress, that how you know your making gains. 225 bench, 315 squat, 405 deadlift. All of those should be achievable within 12 months of starting lifting.
