Are people too picky with their food today?

My Dad said when he was growing up that he had to eat whatever his Mom made with no complaining.

Today, even I catch myself in restaurants saying "can I get this on the side" or "cut this or hold that" or "can I substitute"

Are people a little too picky with their food today?

I had a friend growing up who basically lived off of nothing but Lucky Charms, Kraft Easy Mac, pizza (pepperoni or cheese only), hash browns his mother made, and Mountain Dew.

The wealthier the society, the more options to exercise. We are nothing more than a reflection of our environment.

i didn't have the option to be picky when i was a kid. would blow my mind when i was a kid in elementary school and kids wouldn't eat the food their parents packed them because "i don't like this and that"

my parents grew up in a soviet run country where you couldn't even get coca cola and had to wait in long lines to get meat

I grew up with if I didn't want what was cooked than I could make my own food. As long as I don't have to cook it, I'll eat it; found plenty of 'odd' things that ended up being delicious. I love lingua and tripe which I still can't get my brother to try.

Foods did not come with 10000 kg of radioactive sugar per 1/3 item like they do now.

Modern humans proactive about health live better than humans several generations ago.

Its why everyone is a fat slob, back in the day you’d eat 2 home style meals a day. No corn syrup, no seed oils. It’s disgusting how fat people are today

And you didnt eat lunch out every day. You brought a sandwich or soup from home with you to work.

When I was a kid, you had to eat everything on your plate or you couldnt leave the table.

Ashamed to say I was a picky child when it came to food.

I didn't like 'things' in my mashed potatoes, like skins.

I didn't like green peppers in my meat loaf.

Again, ashamed. And spoiled.
