The governor just told you to get the fuk out and go to Florida, you’re not welcome there, yea so let’s go! When people talk about New York City, the first thing they always talk about is how safe and friendly the city is lmao.

I lived there from 2017-2020. Its fine. Never felt unsafe, but also I don't dress like money and I am relatively in shape. There are better targets.

I lived in Queens and commuted to Manhattan where I worked in Bryant Park.

Manhattan was always safe AF to me. Of course there are homeless and crazies but they typically keep to themselves. Maybe some slightly sketchy areas, but they were always highly populated areas like Times Square or Penn Station. Penn Station is the ******* of Manhattan.

West Village is probably my favorite area in the world.

Everyone associates NYC w/ the chithole parts like TS or stuff you hear on the news.

If they associated it w/ West Village, it would be a different story. Hnnggg women, great food, bars, beautiful views, Friends/Sex and the City vibes, good gyms, grocery stores, etc.

Its quite possibly the perfect neighborhood.

i dont really remember seeing that many hot girls. had a few good experiences but anytime a city has like 8 million people packed into a tiny space vs. maybe a few hundred thousand for an avg. size city, there are bound to be more opportunities

my summation is... expensive, pretty crowded.. but lots to do all the time. id say if youre in your mid 20's to mid 30's its pretty goat. but after that i'd be over nightlife and upstate ny would sound better
all depends what you are used to I guess -- when I visited NYC I was shocked by how many pretty, thin, well dressed, single girls were everywhere, friendly and happy to talk / open body language.....there are many more single women in NYC than men.

..but then again, I come from Silicon Valley, which is the exact opposite extreme, literally NO women, the handful you will even see when you go out will be fat, disgusting, dressed in pajamas, and have 20 thirsty Indian dudes still surrounding them.

So NYC is pretty damn good.

Gotta keep West Village pure. 120k will get you a 3k apartment in NYC.

You can live in Upper West Side for like $1700-2k/mo, so 80k will get you that.

150k in NYC is solid. You're not ballin, but you are comfortable AF. Save 100k in 2 years on 150k then you can ball from then on.
