Look, if i went and watched a movie based on chinese mythology i dont want to see random white people that have no business being there. at that point im no longer in the fantasy, im in the modern world i was looking to escape when i went to watch the movie in the first place.

good fictional worlds are believable in their own right. they clearly did this for no reason other than to check a box. They explicitly said they wanted to make middle earth more like the world we live in. thats a problem, because Middle Earth is NOT the world we live in.

Not only does it make no biological sense, it makes no sense with in the world itself unless there was a thorough ethnic cleansing at some point.

Imagine watching black panther and they cast a bunch of white guys in there in roles where they just shouldn't be. And it's not even that they shouldn't be there... no one would give a fuk if certain characters were whatever color, it's the fact they cast these characters for reasons that have nothing to do with the story, it's political, and that shouldn't have any place in story telling.

They're even including scenes that have racial undertones that are outside of the racial undertones that should be involved in the story. Like dwarfs and elves should be a bit racist against each other, they don't like each other. But they create scenes like the tavern scene where the black elf enters a tavern and the white humans are like "what is your kind doing here", and fuk me, you know know what they were doing there.

If there's a bunch of black chads within the lotr universe created by the creator of lotr, ya'd love to see it... but they need to fk off with pushing their agendas in fantasy story telling. We're here for a fantasy story, not for the storytellers to virtue signal how diverse they are.
