Honeycrisp is very good. I’ll still eat red delicious apples from time to time as well. It’s a classic.

Granny Smith’s for baking though. Sometimes I will put one or two granny Smith apples into the oven, put a little cinnamon on them, Truvia. it’s like eating apple pie filling without all of the extra sugar in calories.

Sweetangos are the GOAT for me. I do enjoy honey crisp and cosmic crisp quite a bit too. Jazz and envy are good. One of the best I've ever had was a hybrid honey crisp pink lady. Can't remember what they were called and only found them once. Fuijis are too sweet for me. Would take galas over fuiji.

Honey crisp are the true GOAT of apples. I do enjoy the flavor of granny Smith but their texture is subpar. I did start getting cosmic crisp recently which is a good alternative. Not sure how anyone can eat a red delicious...

Right off the tree, red and golden delicious are amazing. They don't do well in cold storage, so finding good ones in the grocery store is tough. Used to live by an orchard when I was a kid.

Yeah bro, Granny Smith are created exclusively as a baking apple. The baking process breaks down the sugars etc and make them sweeter, but somewhat tart. Most of the other apples just end up too sweet and mushy when baked.

My first full time job while going to school was in the produce dept of a major grocery store. The guys I worked with truly loved produce and I learned a lot. Some people might see these guys as losers, but far as I’m concerned, the result is one of the best grocery store in the state, with the highest wages and best benefits, which is what attracted me to it. (Side note, that’s the result of a capitalist society! Had to add that. Hehe)
