My current doggie, my king charles cavalier. Best dog ever.

Pretty much the only dog that was my dog as well, the only one I picked out, rest were just family dogs.

Always wanted a big doggo, but thru live circumstances a family member had the opportunity to adopt a Pug. Remember completely claiming HARAM!, that if we were going to get a dog it wont be some small beta ugliest breed of all time!

Long story short it became MY dog and gave me 14 years of unconditional love and became my first tattoo to honor his memory. Became a Pugcel.

Only other pug owners understand the obsession.

Unfortunately, he started chasing cars and got run over. Sad day.

Most recent was Sara. She was a lab-retriever mix. How can I describe it. She was just my everything. She died last december. I have taken her death harder than anyone's death. Then my German Shepherd Heidi that was more or less starting to fill that hole got hit by a car. FML. I was so filled with grief. One day I knew what I needed to do, found a GSD breeder and even though there were others near me, I went to another state because I saw her and for some reason just knew that's where I had to be. I got there and what is now Ava came running up to me, jumped on my lap and claimed me. We have hardly been apart since. I take her to work every day. She's 4 months now. Not missing a moment.

This is Ava

That's how I feel about my dog. Her love and loyalty is truly top tier, we lucky to experience that.

He is also only the 2nd dog I've ever had. I grew up with cats. My ex had a dog that was 7 when we got together and she lived to 14.5. I loved her and she loved me but she was 100% my exes dog. My boo is my dog through and through. I don't know how I would have gotten through my divorce without him. He was there for company when my son was with his dad.

I have had a couple of dogs and I have one now and they are the best but....

The coolest pet I had was when I was like 14. I had a pet rat. It went everywhere with me, I made my mom buy be shirts with pockets on the chest and my rat who's name was spliff, would just chill in my pocket all day while I rode bikes and did normal kid stuff. I brought him to school a couple times but got in trouble usually.

By far the coolest pet. Never tried to run away or anything, always just chilled in my shirt pocket.

My orange tabby cat Tony. He passed away almost two weeks ago after battling cancer for four months. He was getting chemo but the cancer was just too aggressive. He was 12. I adopted him when he was just a few months old. He was cool AF and when I was home he spent every waking moment by my side. I love you buddy

Ive had 5

Negro was the dog my parents had when I was born. Dont remember him much except that he hated me. Died when I was 3 or something. Black Terrier

Cindy was my baby. Got her when I was like 6 or something dont remember. She was so good but got blinded at age of 7 sadly. Still lived many more years after that. Her last night was real tough on me. Dug her grave myself. Also a black terrier

Current dog is Suzy. She cute af. 10 yo now. I was much more mature when she came to us so was able to teach her many things. Gotta say I had the strongest bond with this one. Spaniel Cocker.

We also have a cat called Dory. Sister found her on street. She was like few days old and waiting to die. Apparently cats ditch their weak babies. Was blind. We nurtured her to health. We take care of her now that my sister is no longer with us which makes her special

I also got a bird few months back but vet told me he had a disease and wont survive. Died 4 days after I bought him.

Suzy, Cindy are very special to me. Dory too

Didnt get a bond with others

Cat that just came up to me from the street when I was playing in the yard at three years old.

Was the sweetest, nicest cat, would walk through the neighborhood with me and my mom down the street to pre school and with my mother when she’d pick me up again.

Lived a long life until about 13 and got cancer when I was in high school. We got her surgery but it just came back with a vengeance. RIP Dorothy, never had another cat since.

So sorry that you lost her brah. I dont know if there is an afterlife but if there is I am sure our pets cant wait to rub their beautiful furs on us and lick our faces again. Their love towards us is so unique I feel sad for people who will never experience that

My first dog is Louie and my second was Lincoln. Lincoln sadly passed last year and was just SUCH a good dog. He was always always next to me (usually leaning into me) and would look intensely at my face to see what command was next. I just never had a dog who tried to be so "good" always and I miss that sweet face always looking at me. Louie is still here and has a huge personality and ALWAYS wants to be scratched, rubbed, cuddled, etc. Any girl I've ever dated has said that he's their favorite just because he's so dang sweet. I'm going to be an absolute wreck when I have to say goodbye to him.

My childhood dog was a black lab. Lived to nearly 14, and was in great health until the last 3-4 months. Think of her often. My current dog has potential, but he's only 1 so he can't claim the spot yet.
