Spent some time in Vegas this weekend letting the boys compete at a national level BJJ tournament. We will be back in a few years to win it all (thats the goal)

Seen too many posts today from the usual suspects spewing defeatist attitudes. Well you can either take control of your life or you can sit around and cry about how it is hard.

This weekend I was surrounded by some good dudes. We all came from the same humble beginnings, families came here from war torn country with nothing but the shirts on our parent's backs.
They could have sit around and cried like a lot of miscers here. But instead, they chose to fight. They chose to have and raise children who had strong family values and an undeniable work ethic.

Here is a snap of a second in time that most wont get to experience. Playing with your buddies on your own reserved table. Makes the high limit room feel average.

Because I was tired of hearing this morning a bunch of miscers cry about how hard rock doesnt make a difference in life. So I was trying to inspire the ones that do believe it can happen.
Sometimes inspiration comes from different places. And I very rarely post any pics.....so every now and then its fun to share and also make sure you let the people know you are not full of it.

I do admit the game has changed. I would beg to differ and I think the game is easier. When I was coming up, no way would a little guy be able to battle a big conglomerate. These days, in this hyper connected world, you can enter into markets that were long owned by the big boys and take share. I might be the only asian boomer father on the planet who are telling my boys "go to college if you dont have anything else going on, else just do whatever you had going on and skip college"

Who we choose to spend our time with outside of family is 100% in our control no?
