The Washington Post published an article in which the crippled soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine talk about heavy losses during the counteroffensive in the Kherson direction.

According to them, the Russians use all available means against them, for every 3 Ukrainian shells there are 20 Russian shells, and the losses in personnel are 5 to 1. At the same time, the settlements, the capture of which was reported by the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are not named, and the authorities do not let Media on the front line.

German Defense Ministry: We have handed over to Ukraine an "incredible amount" of weapons from the Bundeswehr reserve, but I will say at this point quite clearly - we have reached the limit

You guys spike a football on every piece of pro Ukrainian footage you find and hyper sensationalized it. There are multiple other Russian videos that tell another situation. It blinds you.

The rest is geolocated positions of either force on the battlefield. Same with the footage. NASA Firms etc. Which you should be paying attention to.
The thing is, this isn't truly about "intel". This is a classic disinformation campaign by zealots; the sort who can't recall that MH17 was shot down by Russian forces; that the 'little green men' in Crimea were identified as Russian special forces in the public domain during that 'vote', and so on.

There are folks willfully ignoring that this is the Russia we are dealing with.

Time and again posters on this forum cry about sanctions yet don't seem to recall the incredible sanctions we adopted against Iran, or now more recently against the DPRK. "Dumb sanctions" - not at all. "Dumb shills" - definitely.

Yeah for the Bundeswehr since they also have other obligations. The industry has a chit ton of tanks and stated multiple times that they're at any point ready to be shipped but the government doesn't want to permit the export.
Idk why the government still doesn't put the hammer down with real sanctions and military hardware since NS1 supply has been shut down. SPD party is and will be pussies.

Except Mh17 was most likely an accidental shootdown by separatists. The little green men being in Crimea didn't change the fact that Crimea is overwhelmingly Russian. If you think Crimea would have voted to remain in Ukriane after the coup, you're a total idiot.

Yeah incredible sanctions that have achieved nothing but caused intense hardship and suffering. Oh and btw, tell me who the real target of sanctions are? They are Americans. Always. The sanctions target people who want to do business with others. We are the ones who get arrested. Not the Iranians or the North Koreans. It's us. The sanction to overthrow system has never worked. It is a total disaster and a pathetic attempt at trying to get enemy civilians to fight our wars for us by making them miserable. All it does is give the government more power to arrest and manipulate American citizens.

But I wouldn't expect a statist playing at world domination to understand the dangers of that. I'm sure you're very proud of your job at the state dept or wherever the fuk it is, but you are turning a blind eye to the evils and provocations of our own country and the fundamental injustices that led to all of this. Our hands are not clean. We have tried to game the situation and have never been fair with Russia on anything. You can't expect your "rules based order" to last when it is this one sided. Read Stephen Walt's article I linked if you actually care about solutions.

These assclowns won't do chit about our own border but care oh so much about Ukrainian nazis getting to LARP for their failed state. Wow.

None of this would have happened if Ukraine hadn't tried to erase its fuking history and marginalize Russians. Ukrainians are not Americans. They do not share our values. They are trying to build a fuking ethnostate. And to call them a democracy is fuking laughable. They are a bunch of fuking insects, and we are risking our lives for these people for absolutely no real gain.

I'm sure Israel would love the Black Sea to be cut off though. Then we can proceed with toppling Syria. What a joke. Why does Ukraine matter to Americans? Can anyone tell me why our lives should be at risk for this?

Not to mention Ukraine is such a corrupt pile of diarrhea that Russia could run the place better than they are. I frankly give zero chits even if Russia wanted to reintegrate all of Ukraine. Big fuking deal. They are all Russians anyway. Ukrainians are just Russians in denial LARPing that they aren't Russian. We can do business with them regardless of what they call themselves. This should not be an American issue.

Historic deal between china and russia. Reuters
State energy giants Gazprom (GAZP.MM) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) signed several agreements on Tuesday, including on the use Russian roubles and Chinese yuan to pay for Russian natural gas supplies to China, Gazprom said.

The agreements were in addition to a February deal between them to increase gas supplies from 2023 via the eastern route of a China-Russia pipeline, bolstering an energy alliance at a time of strained ties between Russia and the West over Ukraine and other issues.

Historically bad for them: they are welcome to leave the USD market, but the USD is the currency used for the vast majority of international trade.

Look at what jurisdictions look like after their FIs lose access to the USD.

Historic indeed.

Saw where they were talking about a counteroffensive, showing one unit made it "deep" into territory 20km, about 12miles into the parts Russia has been holding. We will see. Media larping hard for Ukraine.

lmao China owns the future of this world buddy. USD is the global reserve currency for now, but our empire is dying and it is all because of squandered power and lost opportunities for friendship and security cooperation. We overreached. Every empire does this, and it always ends in ruin. Rather than build a working liberal order, we sought to control the system. Chickens are coming home to roost. Thank PNAC for this wonderful new American century of war, a divided world, and a fragmented economy that will make mankind poor and possibly erase us altogether. America is not exceptional. We are exactly like every other empire that tried to conquer the Earth.

They've had their panties in a twist ever since (who would've guessed?) Ukraine put up a serious fight. The great solace I get from all this is to know that 'big bad Russia' is now an old wives' tale, firmly in the dustbin of political history.

You're right - there's no point engaging with posts like that. "Could've, should've..." but in fact will never do it, because the tail that wags the dog is actually the United States of America, and its allies - in unison.

Ukraine depleted all of their reserves for this push and while it'll be a couple days before we have a clear picture of what's going on, a lot of the on the ground reporting is indicating it has already stalled out.

“So, the situation near Izyum, Balakleya and Kupyansk:

The enemy did not complete the task of the day. The formations of the Ukrainian regime failed to take Balakleya, they did not even manage to enter the city at all. I had to bypass. Shevchenkovo was also not taken by the enemy. Izyum - Kupyansk is preserved. The formations of the regime were able to put the routes from Balakliya under fire control.

The situation for our group is difficult. The problems that have been discussed for several months now are obvious both in the public space and at closed meetings.

Glory to the courage and resilience of our fighters.

At night, we will regroup and pull up reserves, inflict fire damage on the enemy, who is now in unprepared positions. It’ll be a hard day tomorrow.”

If Ukraine doesn't expand on this wedge they've taken there will be nothing left to defend the rest of the country with

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has hailed "good news" from the northeastern Kharkiv region, after an apparent surprise counter-offensive forced Russian troops onto the back foot and prompted a pro-Kremlin official to call for evacuations.

The Russian-installed head of the Kupiansk city administration, Vitaly Ganchev, urged women and children to evacuate the city as Ukrainian forces approached.

Ganchev said the city, which lies west of the Donbas region and about 70 miles east of the city of Kharkiv, "is constantly under terror" and experiencing "constant rocket attacks from the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

Ukrainian officials have declined to comment on the offensive in the northeast of Ukraine, but geolocated footage showed Ukrainian forces in the town of Volokhiv-Yar on Wednesday, around 50 km away from Kupiansk, and also on the outskirts of Balakliya to the south. Russian officials have also remained silent on developments in the Kharkiv region.
