He sat and patiently answered their questions. He does this a lot. Because he's a real leader. Yeah he kills people. That's how Russian politics is. Instead of crying about it, we could focus on helping make Russia a better place. He would like that. If you want to liberalize Russia, that is how. It worked during the cold war. Then we stopped. We hung Russia out to dry and plundered them. Of course this is how you get a Vladimir Putin. He is the leader they need. One day, Russia will liberalize. But it won't happen with fuking war.

Can Trump do this?

Sits for 2 hrs and directly engages young leaders, answering intelligently.

There is a reason Putin is the boss.

Your problem is you don't understand autocrats. You bitterly hate them. You're unable to understand what makes them tick. You're so rooted in American culture that you fail to understand freedom is not a universal value. Some cultures prize stability, efficiency, discipline, and direction.

We can coexist. The war between democracy and autocracy exists only in the minds of people like Michael McFaul. There is no such war. India can work closely with Russia, for example. And Germany would have gotten on fine with them if we didn't sabotage the relationship.

Neither China nor Russia would be better off without their leaders. And their leaders enjoy support unmatched by democracies. No one in our country approves of the government the way the Chinese do theirs. You can say it is manipulation of public opinion, but it is more than that. Putin and Xi bring order to what is otherwise a chaotic and dangerous world for their people. They bring security and prosperity. Their people rally behind them. It's not our place to tell them how best to run their countries. China tried it our way briefly and had terrible riots. Russia tried it our way briefly and turned into a kleptocracy with the people starving and exploited.

Leave them be. We cannot build a better world if we insist everyone be like us.

America appears to have forgotten that the primary mission of the UN is to prevent war, not to promote "human rights", which are highly subjective.

I called it three months ago in early June - 'Aug to Nov would be the time frame when the script flipped'

right on schedule here in September

It has flipped.

Russia is no longer able to take more territory than Ukraine is able to take back. On the contrary now.

Putin has 0.0% chance of success; just like I said a month before Feb 24th. Those of you who still don't get this yet will eventually.

No invading army in the history of modern warfare(however you personally choose to define its start, usually somewhere between the US Civil War and WW1) has an invading army got raped this badly.

Nothing even comes close. An invading army has to have near absolute dominance over the invaded to achieve long-term victory and this is the opposite of that and trending and will continue to trend in the wrong direction for the invader.

Ukraine has air superiority over Ukrainian-controlled territory 6+ months into this war, and increasing even moreso as time goes by in their favor and against Russia. Not even the most optimistic thought it would go this well for Ukraine as far as being able to almost completely deny Ukrainian air space to the Russian air force.

Russia is now buying and shipping by train artillery shells and barrels from North Korea - over 6,300 miles by train. The myth of their artillery ammocopia is over. Russian military ground maneuver warfare is built around artillery firepower. Them shipping numerous trainloads of artillery from all over Belarus quickly around Ukraine and to the Donbas area two months ago was already a big warning sign that some not only stubbornly refused to admit but then on top of it some even ridiculed its mere suggestion. BTW it's not just their ammo being a limiting factor but also just as important their barrels. Those artillery barrels can handle a few thousand rounds max before they wear out and fall short of the target and dispersion goes much larger. How many rds they can take in this war goes down from there with age in the weather and previous usage. and they're almost all USSR era barrels. Russia's current industrial capacity is tiny in comparison to that era and cannot replace artillery shells and barrels in quantities anything remotely close to what the USSR could.

It's the same with Russia's cruise missiles. They're apparently currently down to only what their factory can produce and that's it, due to the decrease in # used vs estimated # of production capacity. and on top of it five of those were fired at Dnipro a few days ago and all 5 shot down by one of Ukraine's several different types of anti-air missiles being fielded now, some suggesting NASAMS due to the success rate and also the appearance of the missiles in the nighttime sky on video. So what fewer missiles they have now are being targeted batter. Russia is even using their stocks of S-300 SAM missiles as reprogrammed ground to ground missiles with over 500 of those fired in the past two months instead of their better air-launched and sea-launched cruise missiles

1,100 currently confirmed Russian military officers killed in Ukraine

many pics, video, obituaries, funerals, other info of the above

thousands of confirmed Russian armor/vehicles/aircraft destroyed/damaged/captured in Ukraine

Ukraine has >12 million able bodied men of fighting age in country. Ukrainians have the widespread acceptance and determination that they can and will do this for 20 yrs and millions dead if need be. Can and will Russia? No.

Those of you in the mil and really all of us should be thankful for how hard the great Ukrainian men and women have fought which will keep you and us all out of the war directly. Without their hard fight, you'd be going, and either to Europe or Asia or Middle East - because the Ukrainians' hard fight is not only also saving us from big war in Europe it's also going to preclude big war by China vs their neighbors at least for the time being. same likely with North Korea and Iran as well. Putin not being defeated likely would have escalated to WWIII in at least those 4 key places and likely elsewhere on top of it such as India-Pakistan and Duke-UNC. History will remember these Ukrainians as heroes.

Russia isn't trying to take all of Ukraine. They know they can't hold it. They are trying to take the Russian majority regions and improve the security of Crimea. They'd like to "denazify" Ukraine and destroy its military infrastructure. We'll see how far they get with that.

Yes the Ukrainians have fought bravely. But none of this needed to happen. At all.

I don't know why this has to keep being explained to these tards over and over again. Russia made these goals public and easily accessible from the very beginning. They even were close to reaching a negotiation over these terms.

Also, listening to Putin talk is pretty astounding. I'm no fan of the guy but his intellect is MILES ahead of the leaders we have in the West.

Legit miles. Putin is an extremely intelligent man for a leader. He's not a genius, and I'm not sure he is as smart as Angela Merkel or Lee Hsien Loong, but he is smart. He knows a lot about economics and can speak intelligently on a wide variety of issues. He at least understands enough to make good decisions for his people. That's why they haven't killed or replaced him. He's useful to Russia.

The ukraine offensive has already been routed lol, what even is this? They pulled in their reserves protecting Kiev for this attack and they're being slaughtered. Congrats on taking a few villages for a few days, nazi twitter must be ecstatic

Russia cannot act with impunity. It's a great job that the EU planned to prohibit the import of Russian oil - doesn't matter that Putin did so, all he did was move up the EU timeline. And the EU's sanctions since 2014 have already shown the world the cost of violating the international rules-based order, and trying to undermine accountability.

Hey Putina? I thought the sanctions aren't working? That they never worked against Russia?

They hurt all parties. Nothing he said was wrong. The sanctions aren't solving anything. They only make sense as leverage for negotiation. But we aren't trying to negotiate a settlement. So what is the real gameplan here? Ask Eliot Cohen.

Yea dude real heroic to act like nazis and refuse peace. Russia actually can. We aren't the only ones. It's called being a great nuclear power.

There's that phrase again. "Rules based order". Made up bullchit where America sets the rules and violates them at will. That's not an order at all. Russia doesn't want to be part of this order anymore. Russia, India, China, and others are taking their ball and going home. There is no world order anymore. There is a bounded American one for NATO and its allies and then there is the rest.

Embrace the new multipolar order or don't. It won't make a lick of difference. Try as you will, India will not side with a country that sought to bomb it in 1971 over the country that stuck its neck out for them and has always been there for them. And we needed India to check China. Russia, India, and China will move together and build a new Asian order. Pakistan will soon follow. And we will lose Asia forever. Europe and America will become much poorer as the arctic northern sea routes open and suez loses its importance. The sun has set on our empire. The people you worked for squandered our influence and power for stupid ends.

The progressive crusader mentality has backfired once again and will leave us all worse off. We had a real opportunity after the cold war to be magnanimous. We could have led Russia and China to a brighter future for all mankind. We could have done globalism the right way and promoted social support and welfare to not destroy the middle class. We could have chosen not to plunder nations and leave them vulnerable to exploitation as we enriched ourselves. We could have done more for this world, and we didn't. We threw it all away.

But you people won't go quietly. You'll start WW3. That's the worst part.

You're just as confused as always.

Nothing there is a contradiction.

No, I never hyped the presumed Kherson offensive during the month before it started, not even once, when others were doing so because yes the chances of failure were high; given any individual major offensive by a country that has never once attempted one in its history has a high likelihood of failure on the first attempt. Also what's going on now is far more than the 'Kherson Offensive' - Ukraine is advancing at numerous points along the front nothing to do with Kherson.

Yes, I correctly said four months that Aug to Nov would be the timeframe that Russia would no longer be able to take meaningful territory versus Ukraine's ability to do so.

Probably because Russia was using a volunteer military and consolidating their gains after each advance. They weren't setting up press gangs to fill their ranks and pulling reserves from moscow in a desperate hail mary. Trust the retard crew to think the two scenarios are the same
