No. The Russian naval base in Crimea, Sevastopol, is of intense strategic importance to Russia. When Yanukovych was overthrown, it was overthrown by a nazi party known as Svoboda. The Russians in Crimea freaked out and voted for independence and then integration with Russia. The Russians were upset that the anti Yanukovych people wanted to push the Russian navy out of the Black Sea so they had strategic and moral reasons to integrate Crimea.

The real tell is their laws. They celebrate Bandera's birthday and venerate people like Stetsko and Shukhevych. They pass racist laws against Russian language. And they voluntarily integrated nazi militias into their military.

Why is your government whitewashing his history? Why has your government undertaken a systematic process going back 20 years of "derussification" and taken concrete steps to banning Russian language and erasing Russian culture and history? Why have they romanticized genocidal men? Why have they given medals to paramilitary murderers who openly are nazis? Why did they integrate them into their military?

Sorry, but there is something incredibly rotten in the state of Ukraine. And I want no part in it. I don't believe America needs to pay for this chit. We have nothing to do with this aside from the fact that we helped Svoboda overthrow Yanukovych for digusting reasons. I want out. I don't want to support this crap. I hate nazis. I don't trust the Ukrainian government. It's corrupt AF. There is no telling where those weapons will end up or what will happen later. And making an enemy of Russia is fuking stupid. No thx.

Also your govt agreed to a deal. They should have honored that deal for peace.

I only ever run one account. 90% of the accounts you people accuse of being me aren't me, and I took a break for like a year from the forum. Just ask them a math or physics question if they claim to be me. You'll know it's me because I actually make logical arguments, am educated, and am not retarded, unlike the rest of you.

I think my children and children of my children will communicate, learn, read, only in Ukrainian.

This was before the war. I can show you movements in Ukrainian law to marginalize Russians going way back to 2000. There is a reason your fellow Russian Ukrainians wanted to leave when Yanukovych was overthrown by the far right. When they burned people alive in Odessa, I think that was the last straw.
