Before the robbery, Copeland was seen inside the Dollar General store across Thomas Street from the Chevron. On their security camera, he could be seen wearing the same olive hoodie, yellow T-shirt and colorful pajama bottoms. An employee at that store recognized Copeland and identified him for police.

if i were in charge, i'd keep brock lesnar on retainer and throw guys who do this chit into the ring with him with one arm tied behind their back. you get 10 minutes. if you die, you die. put it on ppv and use the revenue for after school programs or some such chit.

I think the mentality is different here tbh in my experience living here all my life. I've never had an issue with any other races in my life here. Everyone gets along here for the most part despite the reputation that Detroit has. That doesn't mean that I'm not keepin my eye out always strapped over here boyo.

Other Detroiters/Michiganers can chime in with their experiences but that has been mine.

I'm not disagreeing with you on that. Just saying there are tons of black people that live in my building and 3/4 of my gym is black and they are all completely normal. Not like the stereotypes the misc talks about all the time. The ones that decide a life of crime though, fuk em.

Everyone understands its a small part of the community that is the real problem.

The bigger problem is how much of the rest of the community does absolutely nothing about it. Especially the ones in power. I think 3 of the last 4 baltimore mayors ended up in prison. The current city prosecutor is headed that way. A few from Detroit and DC too were in the news. They're more interested in stealing from their own voters than they are protecting them.

Yes well a lot of em act like a group ("the culture") despite the hypocrisy of them killing each other. Like Kevin Gates said he doesn't support BLM cause all they do is kill each other and all the hate he gets online is from his own kind. Only two types of people as he says: real and fake. And if a black person goes against what the culture thinks he is labeled an uncle tom and bla bla bla. That's a big problem right there it's like crabs in a bucket mentaity you can only vote Democrat, you must share their views or you're the enemy. Yeah our old mayor Kwame was corrupt as it gets though.

And that is something that they will have to figure out on their own. I just treat everyone how I want to be treated and it's worked out quite well for me.

I can understand why someone would want to rob a place.

But shooting the man when he didn't need to to get what he wanted is disgusting.

At minimum he deserves death, and there's even an argument there needs to be an example made of this which would involve a form of torture. Prison isn't a big enough deterrent clearly. It's possible there's nothing that would be a deterrent, and in that case eradication is necessary

If he robs the place, it's whatever, if the clerk pulls out his own gun and shoots at him, then sure would make sense for the robber to shoot back. But shooting an entirely passive clerk? Hard to watch
