I may start back posting on this at some point but for right now I need to focus on my real world stuff as much as possible.
I still think 'Ukraine will win' and 'Putin's war will be defeated' but it's gonna have to happen without me for right now, and this is going to be a long conflict so my warning for all is to not expect a quick outcome.
Memcop and others - long term conflicts such as this are often not solely decided by brute military power but the political, economic, and social aspects as well. The outcomes of many wars show this to be the case. Good luck everybody and may good things happen instead of bad. My interest in this is and always has been the good people of Ukraine winning their fight against brutal oppression. That is what I have grown to love over these years - the strong people of Ukraine and their desire for a better future. Maybe they will succeed; maybe they won't.

No lie, except the one's with issues following orders, they can make good troops. Probably in good physical condition. Already exposed to violence, not going to be scared easily. Many of them very capable of violence. A lot of motivation because it's not like you are taking them from a better situation.

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Andrej Marga supports the dismemberment of Ukraine:
I declare with all responsibility that Ukraine is in unnatural limits. It must cede territories: Hungary - Transcarpathia, Poland - Galicia, Romania - Bukovina, Russia - Donbas and Crimea. These are the territories of other countries. We all stick together, there will be conflict. Let's be very clear - until the situation is resolved through talks with America, and with Russia, and with Germany, and with Ukraine, and with China, and until an agreement is reached, there will be no peace in Europe. There will be no peace, democracy will suffer.

My father worked at the customs office on the border with Belarus before the war, but because he graduated from a military university in the 1980s, he was drafted in July and is now in a training center.
I have nothing to do with the military trade, I did not graduate from a military university, I have no military experience - so I still have not been drafted by the local military commissariat.
Man, don't be absurd. You'd better not reply to my posts and shove your opinion up your ass.

What did I tell you about not trying to push the "it's all part of the plan" angle? I didn't tell you because it makes me anxious, but because it's hilariously retarded. Sorry, one does not hand over one of their main logistical hubs and a boatload of equipment "by design". Neither does one attempt to "distract" forces without reaping any benefits from it.
Although if your point is that the Russians intended to act retarded then I guess you're right.
Yes yes, once again it's the evil US that is provoking a war...
Also you can stop lying about me emoting, you merely posted made up numbers that mean nothing.
In a biannual update to its surveys on core political attitudes in Taiwan, National Chengchi University's Election Study Center (ESC) found only 1.3 percent of respondents wanted unification with mainland China "as soon as possible," while a similarly low 5.1 percent desired formal Taiwanese independence at the earliest possibility.
The appeal for both scenarios, which the ESC has tracked since 1994, remain near all-time lows. The latest figures published Tuesday, represented a 0.1 point drop for immediate unification and 0.7 point drop for immediate independence—two extreme viewpoints that tend not to weigh too heavily on the democratic island's regular elections.
For the past two decades, the majority of respondents have favored some form of the "status quo," the survey showed. Taiwan, now a semi-recognized state, has been ruled separately from the People's Republic of China on the mainland since the PRC was founded in Beijing in 1949.

Here's a study about the last 28 years, knock yourself out.

Should be our problem then.
Yes yes, hundreds of thousands of Ukie soldiers have died and only 5k Russians with 10k Wagner, we know. Quite tiresome how you still try to push this utter bullcrap.
You're quite chit but then also quite obvious at pushing Kremlin crap about vague threats and how everything is going according to the plan. Fuking pathetic that you are still physically incapable of admitting even a single minor Russian blunder.

Yes Russians are retarded and selling 1 million barrels of oil a day at 100$ a barrel. Driving it down to 50, 25$ will be more effective than pretending this is working.
Casualties are probably closer to 3k but they are estimates. PMC around the same. The rest are probably majority DPR.
Blunder? I spoke to many so far. Russia fkn up isn't the point. They will but this isn't a game of football. This is a slaughter. There is nothing Ukraine can "win."
You should at least find frontline stories from your football team since your viewing this as a team sport. This no different than our type of fighting in Afghanistan only closer with no chance of oppositional response.
There is no conspiracy, it's pure sensationalism. Kharkov probably being the nail in the coffin for Ukraine. As youre convinced it was significant to the war, you've completely bought the narrative.
Eta: there are thousands of these videos. Russia buries them by the tens of thousands as they slowly advance.

It's always interesting to see how much is devoted to the social propaganda aimed at the West and who drinks the cool aid.
Propaganda is almost always fascinating, but I do wonder how long the narrative is going to hold up. Yes, Ukraine make some advances, at a huge cost to them. How long can they realistically do this though?
As far as provocations are concerned, the EU and the US have dangled the carrot at some of these former soviet bloc nations with clear intent. The NATO expansion eastward is so overtly a provocation, regardless of whether NATO itself is a defensive alliance. It boggles my mind in all honesty.
Ukraine has been a mess for a long time now, and the cope from some regarding Eastern Ukraine in particular is utterly devoid from reality.
There's so much risk here and for nothing that will benefit the West at large. Buffer states were buffer states for a reason.

I in no way support this war by Russia and want it to stop.
But unlike a child realize the right decisions that have yet to be made.
Hey Luke, what do you estimate the war dead to be?
Apparently you think it's worth it. Tell us what the value of human life is to you.

I don't pretend to know what Russians are doing or even want. I can only watch the map move and battles fought. I love how you attempt to paint this picture. It's hilarious.
You basically want me to fall in line with a narrative. Again, while sympathetic to Ukrainians, there is no need for the death, especially if Russia cranks this things up. It could be exponentially worse than it already is.

I'm actually kinda of shocked by the constraint shown by the Russians, not just in battlefield tactics, but also the limited info coming from their side. Thought we would see more cell phone vids, soldiers getting drunk or acting like clowns. Pretty quiet for the most part. I guess Putin has to sell the war to his allies in Asia and the Middle East, and undisciplined behavior might spook these other countries. At the same time, not expanding the war is letting Ukraine hang in. It's a tight rope.
It's weird that saying that makes me an advocate of Russia. We are in such a troubling time in history. They'd rather some strangers die far away than understand what that means.
I really don't get it.
You're about to see another Bucha like media sprint. Russia buries war dead in captured areas.

I don't think the Ukrainians, and their cucks here in the West...especially the NeoCons who seem to be creeping up from the shadows again...haven't thought this out.
Yes, the US govt will keep sending our money to one of the most corrupt nations on the planet. That's a political problem that we can't fix as US citizens. The left and right love war, and that's that. We don't control the purse.
What I will absolutely say 100% will happen, is you'll get no cannonfodder from our kids. I mean, sure...you'll get the transgendered supply Sgts, and Moesha admin clerk, but enlisting new combat recruits? Nope.
20+ years of dumb foreign wars that myself and friends have been involved in have woken up a large percentage of the population who used to be...join the grunts, do your duty.
That's dead. US military is at 33% recruiting goals right now. The official word is that it's because Americans are too fat. Nope. Americans are sick of war.
So, go ahead and start sending kids off to fight in Ukraine, because that is coming, and you are going to start seeing a lot of non blue hair, far left, whatever other anti war stereotype you can think of marching, and not letting their kids enlist.
Bet on it.

2)If you believe so much in the struggle, why aren't you picking up a rifle and going over there?
The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

I knew he was crazy but shouting down and calling names at an opposing view point that is beyond sensible is especially cowardly. Maybe he'll put his estimates on record so we can remind on another when this shakes out who is to be shamed.
But a dead cow fuking hillbilly that refuses to take his medication cannot resist he and other liberals story telling.
Homeboy truly thinks he's on a mission from God or his country to be involved in this. He really thinks he's participating. Its pretty disturbing.
I hope he gets well but he'll get no love from me until he takes a break and gets his chit together. At minimum and though he's a weird fuk, he's still a miscer and all of you here, to include him should appreciate my style of moderation.
You've known much worse. Now every opinion gets a say (nearly).

I know you dont want to see the complexity, and why Russia went with a SMO vs a declaration of war or an anti-terrorism operation. There are politics at play at every level. You think Russia is incapable of putting Ukraine permanently in the dark? You think they couldnt try to decapitate? Smh...

This is a serious question and I'd like to understand what percentage of effort and equipment you think is being throw at this?
Do you think that percentage increase can be held by Ukraine?
I've kind of done this for a while and already see what I've been saying all along which is Ukraine not being able to handle what is currently happening. It's bad. Real bad. It's an even more devious strategy than I thought before. He just wants to fight at that line. A fight Ukraine hasn't been able to have any success with. The government behind him wants more action but that would end the war too soon. In the meantime, more troops to the line.

And do you really think that the Ukrainian side has suffered far more casualties than the Russian side, fighting a mostly defensive war with a large number of experienced troops for 8 months? Ukraine have enough manpower for many years to fight for a long time to come, here everything depends on the economic and military support of the west. yes, russia has more manpower and they can fight for a long time, too. but Putin is afraid of total mobilization, because his domestic approval ratings will fall, and his army will be unmotivated.
Do you think Putin is really pissed off about the Nato expansion? He doesn't give a fukk about it. it was just a game for russia's internal audience, and the war was designed to get a quick piece of Ukrainian territory and get 146% of the vote in the next election. Nothing else raises the rating and internal trust of the people like a quick victory over evil. But something didn't go according to plan...

also i don't see any more trump cards up Putin's sleeve as escalating the conflict and accelerating the process on the battlefield other than announcing total mobilization or using tactical/strategic nuclear weapons
