Why did you come to the misc and why do you stay here?

Asking this because the influx of threads that I think are chit, aka ped0/racist threads, dudes like johnnydeep imbored donny etc
I came because bb.com had really good deals on supps back in the day, with free samples and it was 1 day shipping for me. Then naturally I wandered to the forum and loved the threads. Seemed like there were a lot of dudes similar to me, lifting bro's who were like tfw no gf, but weren't angry incels about it just lol'ing about it.
I browse when I'm bored or drunk, and try to help people get better by being real with them, not by being nice.

I posted on forums since I was a child. I always loved forums and I was in a time of my life when I was transforming from fat to skinny to muscular I turned to the misc. Misc is a funny brotherhood bro. It's gotten a lot more racist but the fact everyone on the forum is trying to better themselves equally its a shared mentality that forms bonds between us and other miscers.

I came here because it was a popular and active forum that had a lot of normal people compared to most forums that were mostly populated with leftist nerds.

I've skimmed through the forums but never considered clicking on "Misc"
Typed into google sum gey chit like "why is my crush taking 1 day per text message"

At this point, I am already groomed to trust bb.com from the mega gains I acquired reading the GOAT articles

I was crazy about bodybuilding around 2011, so I was searched for bodybuilding advice on google, and found these forums. After few months of posting on bodybuilding related forums, I discovered the MISC...found it fun and that it had about every topic to discuss on this planet and lots of other fun things....Since 2011, I am a regular here...but due to real-life responsibilities I take breaks and then return here.

Being as how I'm an old fossil I posted mostly in the OV35 Misc.

This is the 'misc' vs. lifting forum so I still drop in here occasionally in case there's a music, playing an instrument-song writing, the military or science related thread that may grab my interest and see what others are interested in.

Plus, I want to make sure my Brother Bo_Flecks is still above the dirt.

That's about it for me.....I avoid any drama, politics or SJW stuff.

Got into lifting in my early 20s and I had a buddy who said the misc section of BB.com was comedic gold. Lurked for many years then eventually started posting.

As for why I stay, the misc is about as close as I come to feeling like I’m part of a community. Sad but true. For most other areas of my life there’s a bit of imposter syndrome going on, but I genuinely think of myself as a ‘miscer’.

Only found the misc because I'm a manlet.

When I was 20, I typed into google search something like, "do I have a chance to grow taller?"

Inevitably, I came upon a manlet thread from the misc.

I then made an account and lurked.

I lurked teen bodybuilding for lifting advice when I was around 15. Eventually someone mentioned the misc section, I started posting and was hooked. At first I didn’t understand the culture/inside jokes, but once I caught on this place immediately felt like a brotherhood.
