Putin now resorting to crippling his own countries defenses to desperately reinforce Ukraine..

An analysis of satellite images shows that Russia has been emptying air defense batteries around Saint Petersburg to source missiles to Ukraine

https://yle.fi/uutiset/3-12588962

Keep in mind, Russia's Navy headquarters & Western Military district is located in St. Petersburg. This would be like President Bush transferring the NASAMS that defend Washington D.C. & the Pentagon to reinforce the war in Afghanistan.

Waiting for the Putincels to tell me that Russia is "holding back"Sorry boys, their military is severely crippled, they're not able to "take the gloves off"

The U.S. could send a few B-52's over St. Petersburg right now and they couldnt do anything about it. We could turn that city into ash.

While he has directed low-level cyberattacks against Ukrainian targets every week, they have been relatively unsophisticated, especially when compared to capabilities that Russia has shown it has, including in the SolarWinds attack on American government and commercial systems that was discovered just before Mr. Biden took office.

Some officials have expressed concern Mr. Putin could detonate a tactical nuclear weapon — perhaps in a demonstration blast over the Black Sea or Arctic Ocean, or in Ukrainian territory. But there is no evidence that he is moving those weapons, officials say, or preparing such a strike.

One senior intelligence official said there was a debate underway inside American intelligence agencies over whether Mr. Putin believes such a step would risk Russia’s alienation from the countries it needs most — especially China — or whether he is holding the option in reserve.

......

Mr. Putin, despite his early setbacks, appeared generally satisfied with how the war was going in recent months, content to give his army the time to make slow progress as it pummeled Ukrainian lines with a brutal artillery campaign. But as he made clear on Friday, he is content no more. American officials say Moscow is even more ready to blame the United States for its troubles than it was earlier in the war. ...What Mr. Putin decides to do could depend on his assessment of his own strength at home, how quickly he thinks Ukraine can regroup and attempt another counteroffensive — and what he can do to deter, rather than encourage, further American support.

I wonder if they read my posts. All but my estimated death toll here.

Also, something to think about as Pooter can potentially declare a victory out of left field. Just watch this a few time and remove yourself from all of the drama. Pretend it is a History channel doc and the goal is to grab the 1946 borders of the coastal oblasts east of the river.

(Go full screen and just watch on repeat)

I have always thought he would take everything west of the river. Like a Pishchanka to Lyman situation. Still possible I guess.
But again I have no clue what he is doing other than the hardened parts and the death there.

For history types, it may be interesting for you to go back and see if Russia was encouraging that occupation in the Kharkov Oblast to remove ethnic Russians while they were occupying the area and get a finger on how many left the area. It is just a hunch that they showed up and were not serious about staying with how they fortified the area. I think they are mad that it was a fake front and the US intel folks assisted the Ukrainians in identifying that fact. The troop movement would have been easy to see for a developed country.

Smh

More sensationalism and emptiness. I'm trying to see if the rumors of a Russian counter-offensive toward Kharkov are true.

I already read the whole article. The "2nd most powerful military" with all of the assets that they have decides to transfer the missile systems, not from other insignificant areas, but from the most important power centers of the government, because theyre "old". But its no big deal

Dude literally says that they're using old pos AA missiles to target land structures with the aim of terrorizing civilians...

Russia has repeatedly hit civilian targets with its anti-aircraft missiles. For example, on August 29, Russia attacked the city of Mykolaiv in the southern part of Ukraine(you switch to another service)with 16 anti-aircraft missiles. Two people died and 24 were wounded in the attacks.

In the most recent attack with S-300 missiles on Mykolaiv on the night of September 14, at least two people were killed.

Another city that suffered a lot from Russian anti-aircraft missiles is Kharkiv. Although Russia had to withdraw from the area around Kharkiv last week due to Ukraine's counterattack, it has continued to launch missile strikes from across the border. The Prosecutor's Office in Kharkiv is investigating(you switch to another service)attacks as suspected war crimes.

Ukrainian military expert According to Oleg Katkov , Russia uses S-300 anti-aircraft missiles specifically to terrorize ordinary Ukrainians.

Imagine thinking that the equivalent of lobbing Shermans with a trebuchet at civilians is some Napoleon-tier move.

Is NATO's old inventory coming from the systems that protect their government?

Russia has 21 overseas military bases, yet they're transferring the ones that are protecting their most vital buildings instead.

The copium from the Putincels never ends lol

Yes, because sending over leftover ATGMs and MANPADSs to take out tanks and aircraft is totally the same as using AA missiles against land targets - so fire off in a general direction, hoping that they will hit civilian targets, since that's not exactly their intended role - and pretending that you absolutely do have cruise missiles.

Bro...defense systems from St. Petersburg should'nt even be in the discussion, at all.

Doesnt matter how old the inventory is, these are systems you keep and use as a last resort....like U.S. troops on your doorstep last resort.

...the point of the whole article wasn't that Russia is running out of air defenses, the point was that Russia is lobbing outdated AA chit at civilian targets instead of, you know, using cruise missiles to delete military objectives.

But I guess those civilians should be grateful since only 4 of them died.

This is not true at all. An entire missile defense system is the combination of the methods in which it is used as a defense with radar, sensor detection etc. The 400s have been in service for what, 20 years now and replaced the 300 completely 15 years ago and are on several generations in? A simple search would show you Moscow has about 600 missiles in their S400s stood up over 32 Battalions in the area.

It may be used locally and independently on an older radar set matching the software and system of old, but you either upgrade the systems or don't. Seems harder to do at scale to me or you use the ordinance. Just a thought. I'm not sure you can draw a conclusion other than to underestimate or try to humiliate Russia in some type of weird way. It makes no sense and is based on not much at all.

If there are US troops on Russia's doorstep then you haven't been paying attention to anything at all. S300 & 400ss wont even be a consideration.

A student in Bremen, Germany found an online store selling Stingers and contacted the police. Journalists from Hamburg and other cities have already found out that the weapons were intended for the Kharkov counteroffensive, but ended up on the European black market.

And they could murder ~200 million Americans within 6 minutes of doing that. This is why we need to get rid of democrats, folks. This is how they think...completely irresponsibly. Fuking God complex from years of unipolarity.

What does that even mean? If you have an S300 that does X then develop a S400 that does X+ and staff it with several hundred people and emplace those 600 S400 missiles around the specific area you are talking about as opposed to those that were parked there on a lot, what would you call it?

I'm trying to follow your logic. Mansplain it to me.

Then how would we have mask and "vaccine" mandates?
