If you're male then No More Mister Nice Guy is a great read. Jocko Willinks Extreme Ownership is good for discipline. I also loved The Game by Neil Strauss about the PUA community - not to learn about how to do that, but it's a fascinating look into that world.

Just finished this book earlier today, interestingly enough. It was definitely good. Starting tomorrow I'm going to be reading Man's Search For Himself by Rollo May. I heard it's supposed to be good.

Just started reading "Principles" by Ray Dalio, suggested by a friend

No problem bro, hope you enjoy them. And I would recommend starting with the first one. For one it’s pretty small and can be knocked out in a week or less. Plus it stands apart from the others, but I found it really enjoyable and inspiring. From the other recommendations I put out there I’d suggest going with Influence first. It provides a more broad/general insight into human thought patterns and how people are influenced or persuaded by various factors. You’ll read about lots of interesting studies as well as real world examples to back up the information. For instance you’ll get to see how China took POWs during the Korean War, and within a few years had people who were fighting for America during the Cold War writing papers about how good communism is. And the process was actually pretty easy for them(China). Plus you’ll get more out of the other two; Human Hacking and What Everybody Is Saying, if you get that general insight into how persuasion works before diving into them.





Edit to add- it really isn’t a book in the sense we think of today, but The Moral Letters is a good read. And it’s super quick to read one letter per day if you just want to incorporate a new habit into your daily routine.

I used to dislike fiction so much that 95% of my books are college textbooks.

But now that I think about it, fiction is actually quite powerful and useful. The Harry Potter series was a powerful fiction book, by the recount of others as I have not read it yet. But in my highschool days I recall that whenever I get into a book, it’s hard to put it down.
