Just got laid off from tech job
Worked hard for my degree for 6 years, get laid off after 3 months. Almost had my 10k goal saved up. Sucks man. They can’t find associate level guys any projects. The whole company structure is ****ed not hearing back from other jobs fml

Find that silver lining brother, at least you have the opportunity to spread your wings to a different job before chit gets worse, find something that is in high demand, like janitorial work (srs)
People will always need people cleaning things, and it's not prestigious work, but Serving others in and of itself is a reward unto itself
Probably going to get a part time gig doing janitor stuff at my local gym in the winter to keep busy

I've actually worked for start-up tech companies in the past.
I can tell you with absolute certainty that most of these start up tech companies will not survive the next 3 years. They're just too disorganized, too undisciplined, and too obssessed with appearing trendy (an expensive mistake).
Everyone in these types of companies is a narcissistic schmuck that thinks he's the next Steve Jobs, no one puts in any real work, and there's zero accountability.
When I worked there I recall they hired a bunch of new tech guys, some marketting people, and some VPs... and then they laid them off in like 4 months.... It was completely absurd....

I dealt with startups they are all investor funded with all these hopes and dreams with the company.
The only outlook with them is they either crash and burn or they get acquired by someone bigger.
Only thing I liked about startups is the atmosphere and the ability to have input on how **** is ran. Other than that, is a rocking ship especially if you got a dumbass CEO running the show.

I would only join a tech company as a consultant, and then I'd proceed to leech off them by eating all the free food, stealing all the sodas and office supplies, and building my network of contacts.
I might put in like maybe 3 hours of actual work per week, but most of my time would be spent just goofing off and leeching....
It's actually a great scam because no one would rat you out because EVERYONE is leeching off the company, especially the executives....

Bidens america will destroy the tech sector here in the states. many of the companies are over leveraged and not even close to being profitable. Anyone investing over the last decade could tell you how volatile tech is. You're better off learning a trade, or opening your own business/consulting firm. If you can market your skills as a 1099 employee, that's what id do. Fuk corporate america.
