Just looking up some random store that used to sell a piece of cake for $6.5 just two years ago. Now it's $11.
Some chitty tamale that used to be $2 during covid and it's now $4.
Gas prices, housing prices, any dish in a restaurant will cost about $15+, and the list goes on
I make six figures so I can afford it all and still save thousands every month but it still sucks seeing the prices in comparison so I rarely buy anything and rarely go out if I can

Try to stay ahead of inflation in general I think. Hard to do in the current climate if your company only gives you 2-3%/year pay bumps.
I was forecasting my rent going up 20% this year. Finished a high level cert, applied externally, got an offer, told my current company "bye," and then my current company counter offered hella hard, worth close to 35%-40% increase over all.

used credit card offers to my advantage (open one and get $200 if I spend $1000 in 3 months, etc)
used bank account sign up bonuses to my advantage ($300 for opening checking, etc)
stopped using air conditioning
bought food in bulk at costco
eat foods that have cheap bases like rice, pasta, etc
stopped buying clothes, tech, gadgets, etc

Stopped getting take out.
Stopped drinking booze.
Quit cigs a few years ago, so that has been a good boost.
Started eating primarily eggs, sardines, ramen, and cottage cheese.

Honestly I've never been a big spender of any kind. My daily spending is on starbucks, and some food. Ill buy clothes like shoes that goes on sell every now and then and other miscellaneous things.

I raised my rental price by about $600 when the new tenants moved in. Will rent the house I'm living in when I move in with my gf this winter. Rentals should pretty much pay all my bills and living costs. Plus I do pretty well at work. I've been fortunate. But yeah inflation sucks. Think my job might give a 10% inflation raise which would be nice

Over 100% of job growth in recent months has been people getting second jobs, including second full-time jobs. That's how a lot of people are coping. And I saw somewhere younger generations are borrowing from their baby boomer parents at record rates.

Small adjustments. Mostly shopping at Aldi, I'm getting more creative with my cooking and meal planning, eating a little less meat. Switched my unlimited gym membership to 8 classes a month. That sort of thing.
Don't even need to, but I prefer to grey man it when crime goes up.
I also made some wise career choices that have positioned me well. Targeting a different market outside the US is offering a good deal of stability when my former US colleagues are seeing RIFs left and right.

I’ve been increasing the rents on my tenants
Don’t really need the extra cash but since the price of everything is going up anyway they don’t question it
