Pablo got pushed back too. Can we just cancel this playoff series pls commish? Can't believe such absolutely unheard of occurrences of starters being pushed back or IL'd at the end of the year keep happening in the REAL championship of the A-League.

Also I hope Meneses goes nuclear this week to try and cancel out fukking Elvis Andrus putting together the best month of his career loool. Pretty sure I drafted that cocksucker with my first pick in 2018 after he went 20/25 and he missed half of the year and gave me 6hr/5sb and a .6xx ops. I didn't even know he was still in the bigs lmao.

Braves are probably going to need to sweep that Atlanta series now as much as I hate to admit it.

When you really think about it, Mets only have 8 games left without that series. Most of those are against garbage teams. Very likely they will go at least 6 of 8 in them. Braves meanwhile have an extra two games left to play. We would have to go 8 and 10 in that same stretch to keep the loss column even. 4 of those are going to come against the Phillies as well.

And god forbid the Mets win 7 of their 8, which isn't even unreasonable considering it's Oakland, Nats, and Marlins here in those 8. So basically it's either 1.) Sweep the Atlanta series or 2.) Get lucky the Mets stumble in games they really shouldn't.

I gotta say at this point with how the Mets have played the odds of sweeping seem better than #2. Sh*tty position to be in. The Braves really needed to pick up a game while the Mets played the Brewers and they blew that chance today.

Mets definitely deserve it if that's how it ends up though. Braves shouldn't have started as slow as they did. People that think April games don't matter well here you go.

It's not impossible we sweep them. It's not like we can't beat Scherzer and/or Degrom. The Braves really are good enough to beat anyone so if they show up that series we can still pull it off. It's definitely not the position you want to be in but I wouldn't consider us totally dead in the water either. Braves will be hyped for that series and they seem to elevate when they need to. Tough task and admittedly not in our favor though, so we'll see.

I'd did some advanced scouting. It looks like the Braves will throw Wright, Morton, and Fried in that series. Mets will be throwing Degrom, Scherzer, then ???.... I'll guess Carrasco for the final one.

Braves trio can match the Mets though. If the Mets lose that Degrom start I guarantee they'll be feeling the pressure. They don't want to get to Sunday with Carrasco as their savior.

Has Degrom ever even made a playoff start? Cause he's about to experience one next Friday.

I mean even thinking of Degrom losing is preposterous. How many quality starts in a row? You'd be lucky to get 2 runs off him. Better hope to get his pitch count up early and hit the middle relievers before Edwin starts warming...thats your only chance.

I'd go as far as saying, that's a guaranteed loss game. Better chance of a W against Scherzer

He actually loses a lot (though not his fault) so it's not really that preposterous. He only has a .600 win percentage compared to Scherzer .664.

And we already put a loss on him last month in Atlanta. I'm not underselling him but good teams can beat aces and Degrom isn't invisible by any means.

He outpitched Kershaw and Greinke in Dodger stadium in the NLDS in games 1 and 5. Also shut down the Cubs in the LCS before getting shelled in game 2 of the WS against the Royals. Granted that was 7 years ago but he has pitched in the playoffs.

Wow Fried is literally not throwing strikes. Phillies bailing him out in the 3rd possibly.

2-0 to Harper Fried throws a ball a foot inside nearly hits him and Harper swings at it. smh... ended up getting him to ground out.

Phillies could have really blown this game open by simply not swinging at anything in that inning. Braves better take advantage of it.

I really want to see a stat on Olson swinging at the first pitch and making an out (usually pop out or weak tapper).

It doesn’t matter whether they’re 1, 2, or 3 games back. The loss to the Nats last week pretty much guaranteed they’d need to sweep.

Strider wasn’t even lined up to pitch that series.

Granted these retards are giving away their leash pretty quickly. Already 2 back in the loss column.

It’s gonna be close lol I don’t even like refreshing the matchup right now. Nail biter Sunday incoming, but whoever wins will have earned it. And yeah you have the tie breaker, you beat the brakes off me in my worst L of the season 11-1 or some **** and I think beat me in the other one so that’s gonna keep you in the hunt. That pinch hit sb and vultured saves have been huge.

If by next week you mean tomorrow… let’s hope! He plays the Braves this week.

Now if you mean next week next week let’s hope not. He plays the Mets.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Damn R.I.P. Cabrera. Going into today I felt like the two categories I was leading in that I had to keep were Wins and Strikeouts. Needed those Ks brotha.
