the point is you want better graphics and smoother gameplay and you're not poor enough to care if you spend a few hundred more every couple years

These days, all the good games are either horribly optimized or have bad graphics so it doesn't really matter. Things may change once more UE5 games hit the market.

1080 ti was legit. new cards arent that much better and the games suck now

I think upgrading every 2nd or 3rd generation is fine for most gamers. You can always sell your current card too, effectively making your upgrade a lot cheaper.

I got a 2060 for $250 to play elden ring. Maxes out 1080p just fine. I'd like to get a 4k card later this year but not spending $1000. Will see how the 4060 benchmarks most current games when it comes out.
