I'm done with 4k TV's, 1080p is the way to go.

Tried another 4k tv, I made a thread a while ago about how 4k TV's are a gimmick and that I'm going back to good old 1080p TV's. Bought a 55" quality 4k tv:

and wow. Sound is great, tv OS is fast but the eye strain is just too much. Bought this previously

Which I admit is a budget tv. This time I went all in and bought a quality qled tv but the issue still resides. 4k TV's are trash and it's not like I can go to Walmart and pick up a good old 1080p tv because they're all discontinued.

It's a quality tv rated very highly only behind the Hisense U6H.

Anyway I'm waiting for micro led TV's to release, the GOAT tv tech.

4k just looks better regardless.

If you can't tell the difference between 1080p and 4k at any reasonable distance then you're fookin blind. I can clearly tell the difference between them. Especially when it comes to streaming content.

Even more so when you add in things like dolby vision and hdr.

About 8 feet?

Take horizon. I would instantly pick up a ps5 pro if it could play that game at 4k60 instead of 1800p which looks much softer. If it dropped all the way down to 1080, is it even playable? I went straight from base ps4 to ps5 so I can clearly see the difference.

Your take on fps is poverty. 30fps to 60 is a HUGE difference. 60 to 120 is slightly noticeable, I'll take 120 if all other conditions are met but it's by no means a requirement for single player games. 4k60 should be the gold standard imo for consoles at least, hopefully the pro versions or next gen can do that easily.

But you're definitely right on this post. 1080p to 4k is a massive leap. In fact to me that's what makes this gen the biggest jump in I've seen since the PS2. Can't believe I was so happy with my ps4, lol I'd never be able to go back.

I barely notice the difference between 1080p and 2160p but I sit like 2-3 meters away from my tv. If you really put on some high quality ultra HD stuff you can see it but I don't think it's that important.

An entry level 4ktv is going to be worse than a high end 1080p tv from a few years ago. Just lol @ buying some poverty spec 4k then writing off 4k entirely. Broke ass bish
