The Beard and Physique Comeback (pic)

So I am finally at a place where my thoracic/neck issues are at about 90%+ back to normal. I can finally start pushing myself more and more physically playing it smart. Way less nerve issues, posture is getting better, and back has settled down a lot in terms of tightness.

I dropped way down towards 180-183lbs which was my lightest in 9 years. I was doing keto and only some PT style exercise along with random bouts of rucking.

I am near 190lbs right now and did add most of the fat around my midsection (sadly) so this is not the best start but will be going towards 205lb and lean which is typically what I was at when I was active in a more shredded phase.

2 years ago I was 230lbs+. Now I'm Twink mode...

The beard is also making a comeback. Full Techno viking mode activated.

Let's go boyos. We're back.

I shaved my neck with a razor (with the grain, mind you) like two weeks ago.

Never again.

Started getting bad heat rash on my neck at work.

Still not quite healed up either, just about there.

So my beard is here to stay whether I want to or not.

Yea I shaved my in April. Went until the end of July and started growing mine. The initial shave is the worst though. I have to use electric for my face. Can't use a razor because no matter what I get horrible rash/razor bumps.

My man what's good? I haven't even been to a gym since last November so I am scared to see how bad the big 3 are. I was at about 285lb bench in November for a 2 second pause easy even with my issues starting to get worse. It's probably horrible since I lost so much weight.

But I will say fixing my posture and really focusing on the smaller muscles and getting more movement in my back has increased my connection. My grip strength feels even strong now then even when I was doing forearms and grip 3x a week. My general strength is solid right now.

What was the issue with your neck/nerves? I had a pinched nerve a couple years ago that made me lose more than half the strength on my left side

Not 100% sure but I might have had a slight bulge around the base of my neck. I also have scoliosis already and thoracic outlet syndrome that was causing a little bit of issues, but this exacerbated it. It got real bad quick. I didn't lose strength though, but I had the feeling of water down my arms and rib ends in my chest. Some tingling as well. It got real bad over winter and I was basically sub zero from mortal combat. my upper back had some discoloration that looked like bruising and I'd be freezing all the time because of the cold sensations around my neck and upper back and would even go down to my stomach and feet. Was scary af.

The weird thing was...I felt normal besides the sensations. My back was very tight along with that, but my strength did just die out, and my functionality was normal. I just couldn't handle the cold sensations. x-rays didn't show much of anything besides the curvature. Didn't get an mri. I went to a chiropractor for 6 sessions and he helped a lot create more space and release tension in that area, plus give me a lot of good exercises like nerve flossing and postural things.
