Why do you dumfuks "Fake Commute"?
The average person commutes like 2hrs to work a day.
Some people who WFH spend no time commuting.
However, you get idiots who can't stand WFH, and they drive around their neighborhood for 30 minutes and arrive back at home. In other words, they pretend to commute to ease their mental illness.
There are a chit ton of articles showing you "pro tips" on fake commuting and improving your joke of a life.
So why do you guys do it?

Who here has even confessed to doing that?
As for the articles. Working class people have been conditioned for routine. WFH disrupts that routine for some people so they probably do the fake commute to add to their routine or so they aren't spending too much time at home. I think it's silly but also understandable.

They probably do it out of some need for structure or normalcy, while others might just use it as an excuse to leave the house since they WFH.
Silly? Yes. Understandable? Kind of.

They need to drink their morning coffee and listen to the radio.
Jokes on them, I have been WFH for 5 years now and do that while miscing instead of radio.

I just go to the gym and then grab a protein shake + kebab combo meal deal from the middle easterners within walking distance of the gym. No reason to drive around for nothing.

I used to “fake commute” while working from home just to kinda wake me up in the morning. I’m still working from home but instead of adding miles and wear and tear on my car driving around the block, I just sit in the garbage with the engine on and the windows down.

Never heard of that, but people do put an office in their backyard to “commute”. Being at home can be distracting.

What sort of retard does that. My commute is 30 minutes one way and I’d love to have that hour of my day back. I cannot stand being on the road with these fuking idiots.

Wife finally joined in the game too, and she used to work 5 minutes away (20 minute walk) and she hates commuting too.
The people slowing down your commute are most likely miscers just doing their rounds of fake commuting just to feel alive.

Never heard of wtf OP is talking about.
The longest commute I ever had to deal with was like 30mins and mainly because of traffic and I would listen to audiobooks and podcasts and sometimes if it was in a really good part and I got home I would stay in the car in my driveway for to finish a chapter before going in the house.
