I do it mainly to grab overpriced coffee and pastry for the commute to enjoy listening to tunes/talk show. Well today I just grabbed a couple donuts at the local cambodian donut shop and got coffee at the office. And by office I mean my kitchen.

There is also a fact I cannot recall where I heard or the exact words but it was something like "Happiness is determined by the proximity to work"

Which I can attest to by living 5 mins from my office for most of my working life. Co-workers with long commutes never stfu about how much they hate it, can't fathom having to wake up 2-3 hours before the time you have to be in and after finishing not being home until 1-2 hours after you left work. Those are wasted hours of your life you never get back.

My one friend moved 2 hrs away from me and that's exactly what he does. He wakes up at 5am. Eats food for 1 hr until 6am. Then drives to work in LA and arrives at 8am.

Leaves work at 5pm drives home until 7am. Goes to bed at 8am.

Now he's an obese fuk and has no hobbies other than his wife's ********.

one of the biggest benefits of WFH is the morning routine

instead of showering, putting on nice clothes, and commuting to the office... I have time to meditate for 15 minutes, walk around the neighborhood with my dog for 30 minutes, and do the dishes/laundry, and still log into my laptop earlier than I would had I worked in an office

Feelsgoodman not wasting my life working in an office and instead using the gained time to benefit myself

It's worse than reverse commuting (living in expensive city where all the jobs are at, and driving 2 hours to Low COL area for work.)

I have time for 8hrs of videogames some days & my favorite is blasting music all day. Can't do that in the office without biches getting mad and reporting you to HR.
