Not a movie, but a television show:
“The Brain Center at Whipple's" is episode 153 of the American television series The Twilight Zone. It originally aired on May 15, 1964 on CBS.
Predicted robots taking over human jobs, something that occurred in reality in the 1980s in Detroit

These are the most likely futures.
Soylant Green isn't just about crackers made out of people.
The movie is all about everything being limited.
Rich people can get an apartment with its own attractive whore built in. A girl like that is happy for the job because she gets to live with a rich guy.
Everyone lives in poverty and it's hot all the time.
There's suicide centers to go to if you are done with it all.
Just the other day I saw a story on misc where this lesbian who posed as a man to see what it was like went to a Swiss Suicide center to kill herself.
Our society currently has limited housing, tons of whores for rich people, and a high suicide rate, so not far off.
1984 is all about thought control and using that to make people mentally retarded through language that has little meaning mixed with living in constant anxiety.
There's tons of "nice people" on a mission to do just that.

Demolition Man
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Another film worth noting on this topic is George Lucas’ THX1138….very bleak but prophetic depiction of the future. Fun fact: the “THX” sound intro we enjoyed at the beginning of ever film in the 80’s and 90’s is named after that film…again, very prophetic and appropriate to have the catch-phrase for that being “The audience is listening” considering the plot of THX1138. The irony is lost on most.

Idiocracy is pretty much here...
Watched this movie Strange Days about a year ago, and it looks like it will be pretty accurate soon.
