There were multiple sandy relief bills proposed... The one passed, they voted no on. They voted yes on different bills that provided relief. Back in 13 there were arguments over the amount and how it was spent. Being how the bill was something like 50 billion and only like 25-30billion went directly to sandy relief/aid...


A lot of you literally look at the name of the bill and then who voted yes/no... This happens constantly when people put some shiny name on a bill such as "inflation reduction bill" which does literally nothing to reduce inflation.

How much spending was part of that bill?
Was that spending responsible or irresponsible?
What other bills were already passed to provide aide?
What other bills did he vote yes on?
Did he ever explain why he voted no? Why not? Was he asked? What was his reason?

Typically what happens is they have an emergency fund to stabilize after disasters. They can then sit down and approve more and they should absolutely go over each bit to make sure it isn't pork unrelated to the disaster.

It is weird to me that liberals are strutting around like rooster thinking they have desantis in some type of "Gotcha" trap after a disaster.
