The answer of WHY is multiple and too large of a leap for your mind to handle at this moment.

Now let's look at your language. You are saying these are facts (We dont waste our time teaching incorrect facts). Theories aren't facts.

Evolution is a probabilistic framework that has multiple assumptions that can be challenged with core concepts that are refutable.

You keep going to this creationist ad homenium. The evolutionary biologists I mentioned are all atheists.

If you actually read Darwin's book you would realize that the theory fails due to what it relies on.

What does Darwin start his book with? You can use the facts in my book to come up with the opposite conclusion of mine.

In chapter 6 he talks about the problems of his theory. What was his number one thing that causes his theory to collapse?

Gradualism. Variations that take place take at a gradual pace. That has been proven to be false. Fossil record has shown that punctuated equilibrium to be true.

Evolutionary biology is change over time. Darwinism/"Evolution" (what you and the masses believe) is single ancestor/tree of life.

So what you are claiming is that biochemistry, genetics, anatomy, psychology, sociology can all be explained and are in congruence to a single conclusion. Science doesn't prove this. Same data can lead to multiple conclusions.

Now let's look at a Black Swan.

Nope, humans, who are apes, descended from apes, and the evidence vastly supports this.

This is what you said. Where do you get this? Similar physical traits. Due to them, they have a common ancestor/descent. This is homology.
This is what your "biologists"/everyone believes.

This is an assumption. You cannot conclude from your assumption and say that it is true.

Is there something to refute this? Homoplasy. Marsupial and Placental Saber tooth tiger. []https://www.blackwellpublishing.com/...hylogeny8.asp]

It's not just physical but also on the genetic level. Echolocation gene in bats and dolphins are identical yet are not due to common ancestry.

Why do you say we are apes/chimps? Because we have 99% similar DNA right?

This is the most stupid idea to proliferate to the masses. This was due to a 1975 publication by King and Wilson.
How did they get to this number? Maybe you should read the paper. But I'll save you some time.

First, they assumed common ancestry. So they discarded all non-coding genes. If you studied biology like you claim you would know this is the vast majority of your DNA (95-97%).

Second, they only compared what was similar and discarded other things. If you read Jeremy Taylor's book Not a Chimp ( a person who does believe in Common Descent w/ Apes) he shows that you can have 99% if you fraud the data like the 1975 study, you can come up with figures like 85~ percent or even as low as 20% if you compare the proteins. All of this is SUBJECTIVE.

Why?

You can't calculate humaness versus chimpness. The genomes have different sizes, orphan genes (zero percent similarity), gene positioning matters etc.

And even if they DID have 99%, it doesn't mean common ancestor.

Once I'm off recharge I'm gonna neg your stupid ass for negging me.
Damn, numberguy destroyed.

You do realize that the field of evolution has advanced since Darwin right? Darwin was wrong about many things. That does not make evolution somehow false. Just like how Einstein was wrong about entanglement. That doesn't mean everything Einstein did was wrong.

The stuff you are citing is absolute bs btw. The genetic similarity between humans and other great apes is immediately verifiable. We have the fuking sequences...

Why would you not ignore noncoding sequences? Are you aware how much of the genome is noncoding? There are minor genetic changes, but large differences in how those genes are expressed. That is why we are so different from the other apes.

That should not surprise you. Anyone who has studied embryonic development understands that even from the same core set of genes, you can get an extraordinary amount of variation in how the genes are expressed. It is this combinatorial explosion of possibilities that creates the diversity you see in extant life.

https://www.nature.com/scitable/topi...ox-code-41402/

The takeaway message is that we share a lot of our genetic information with other lifeforms. And in seeing these similarities, and the fact that we use the same genetic code, and seeing weird chit like double membranes around structures like mitochondria and chloroplasts for example, we can infer a picture of how life diverged over time. There are so many observable phenomena in evolution, including convergent evolution, synapomorphy, and other things we find that help us understand the role of selection and of common ancestry in the evolutionary processes we observe.

And to reiterate, you can observe evolution in a lab with bacteria. That isn't "epigenetic" as Paul wants to pretend. You can observe real genetic differences emerge over time and literal relative changes in allele frequencies in isolated populations in response to selection pressures. Don't believe me? Do the experiment yourself. You just need some agar and an antibiotic.

Doyouunderstand what species means? It's actually a vague term that can have different meanings in biology, with usefulness depending on situation. There is the biological species concept, which defines same species as capable of having the potential to produce viable, fertile offspring when crossed. It's useful, but has its problems. First, asexually reproducing organisms like prokaryotes- the definition doesnt even apply. Second, hybrids can often times befertile. Female ligers and tigons, to take just one example, can be fertile (and breed with themselves or lions and tigers). Does this mean tigers are the same 'species' as lions? Hmm I wonder, were ligers one of the 'created' kinds God created in the Genesis myth...or did they just arise when lions bred with tigers. What about all those polyploid species of plants (this is a rhetorical question, to illustrate the absurdity).

Adaptation to surroundings? What? Do you even know what polyploidy is referring to, or are you just rehashing terms you see like 'adapting' that you see on creationist sites? This is a joke.

In case you arent aware, autopolyploids candoubletheir chromosomes in the span of one or two generations, for example 2n to 4n, and the result can be reproductively isolated from the parent generation. Or there is polyploid speciation after hybridization, with reproductively isolated offspring- numerous documented examples going back to even 1850, not to mention like 70-80% of flowering plants are descendants of ancestors formed by polyploid speciation . Remember, none of this matters anyway, since you wouldnt even have to see speciation with you own eyes for it to be true. There's this thing called evidence....

Wow these are some dumb posts. Misc gonna idiotically misc.

Imagine being at stark odds with the biological community on matters of basic science. Have fun with that. Reminder: merely saying things does not make them true.

I'll await the earth-shattering, paradigm changing, peer reviewed research from the likes of Paul, Kool, and these two randos that refutes evolution (fkn lol). Until then, the biological community will continue to understand the correct fact of evolution, common ancestry, and man's origins from ancestral apes.

If by “dark ages“ you mean being opposed to the mutilation of women and children, Covid medical tyranny, illegal spying on the population, socialism, Marxism, fascism… you pretend as if the post modern age has brought about only good things, when it has killed tens of millions more than religion ever has. Yes, ideology like yours is what leads to a lack of morality in society.

To make this more clear, think about each individual and what their ideologies are. One extremist can have completely different beliefs in processes even though they are still part of the collective. Societal processes --> outcome are a much Misunderstood reality by the secularists and leftists. When it comes to a society and individuals, the Bible is really on point, and it’s a good indication of that when secularists and leftist bash the Bible then simultaneously implement horrible policies and standards that wreck the human spirit and normal behavior. This includes influence and corruption through government interference and overreach.

Do you realize how much Covid has screwed up the standards and processes of healthcare? How did they miss it? Because they completely neglected to account for the economy and social issues. “When all you have is a hammer, you only look for nails…”

I mean you have a knack for taking almost any topic, and devolving it into a talk about sociopolitical issues. We could be talking about Taylor series from math, and Im sure you'd respond with something about fascism or collective ideals in society. Im actually not even that interested in ramifications of belief in the bible for society, etc....(although it'd be strange if the only thing holding people back from total barbarism is because a text told them)....the meaningful question to me at least is just whether it's true- which all indications show isnt the case.

What I mean is: if you are denying basic evidenced science, you are cutting yourself off from the world and its progress. You can live in this dark ages fantasy existence, but it doesnt really matter to practicing scientists or the rest of society, they'll continue on just fine. If someone thinks the earth is flat (which a nontrivial portion of this board seems to think), or that the earth is 6000 years old, common ancestry isnt a thing, space is fake, or whatever else false nonsense, that is no better than living in circa 1000 AD, and you may as well be living in the dark ages. I've entertained this thread enough, most of these posts arent worthy of a response, but I do respond sometimes because it's amusing. The content is a joke to someone familiar even with basic amounts of biology, which is a stretch for most posters in here.

No longer being able to interbred does not equal a new species lol. Whether it be ring species, types of fish, or bacteria..they never cease to be what they are inherently..they NEVER change species. You do realize this?

If Darwinian theory were true, we should be able to find some cases of speciation in the fossil record, with one line of descent dividing into two or more. And we should be able to find new species forming in the wild. We should be able to find examples of species that link together major groups suspected to have common ancestry, like birds with reptiles and fish with amphibians.

Good morning Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Just a friendly reminder to continue to deny yourself and follow Jesus. The best way we can do that itt is by showing grace and mercy to all the unbelievers itt. Being lost is never any fun, and we should sincerely want to help the lost become found.

To borrow a retort from the babble of philosophy....is the bolded an absolute as well?

Where did I say it is denying all basic science? I didnt say that. Someone could could deny basic evidenced facts like evolution, yet still believe basic facts from physics such as gravity.

I would disagree that this area of science doesnt help society. No only does it help in the sense of enabling humans to understand their origins, but it underlines basically the whole discipline of biology- the glue that holds the field together- which has been an incredibly successful, practically useful discipline over the past 150 years in fields from agriculture to medicine. From plant geneticists tinkering with polyploid hybridization mentioned above to understanding antibacterial resistance, and here's a slew more, fun read

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3352551/*

This isnt nearly exhaustive. No idea what you are trying to say, but is sounds suspiciously like the laughable anti-intellectual stance you were uttering upthread. Reminder: the rest of the world moves on regardless, including science.

Edit: *: Thisjournalis titled Evolutionary Applications. It's literally a journal dedicated to the applications of evolution across various fields. "doesnt help society one bit"....outta here.

Why does it even matter what happened thousands of years ago?

We are just losing focus on what's going on today.

Today the world is falling apart. The only solution is following Jesus.

If people could crucify their flesh and the fruits of the flesh.

(immortality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outburst of anger, disputes, dissension, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, greed, selfishness ect...)

And people were more like the spirit

(Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control)

I really believe this is the only way we can have heaven on earth.

That's what we should be focused on, not events that took place thousands of years ago.

Today is the day to be present.

Today is the day to accept Jesus and become dead to sin and alive in the spirit.

I hope this message is received well among you all.

If people aren't already following Jesus, then Jesus is a bad idea.

I really like what Jesus had to say in Matthew and actually try to practice it.

For instance, Jesus says that thinking negatively about others is a sin. I actually started practicing this in real life and have gotten go at it, especially at work. I do not believe Jesus was a real person or that mideast gods are real, but I love the idea.

It has helped me stay calm around really annoying people and mental patients at work. I have trained myself to not have an opinion about them.

Also, Jesus said to be generous and give to people who ask. I cannot give everything but I do try to help and give to people who ask me directly or I encounter. I cannot give to everyone of course.

Anyway, the problem with acting like Jesus is that it takes a HUGE amount of intelligence, restraint, and mental power.

You cannot be a monkeyman and follow what Jesus said.

Also, religions like Roman Catholicism are perverted and say you don't have to act like Jesus when Jesus says exactly what you must do. So, Catholics invalidated Jesus so they could have churches and robes and all of that and Jesus said not to. So, you are highly unlikely to act like Jesus if you were raised in a church.

So, Jesus is a complete failure because it takes too much effort and discipline to be like him. The churches are gimmicks to exploit idiots for money and say nice words without doing actual deeds.

Jesus is not the solution to anything. He has been around for 2000 years an NOTHING JESUS RELATED HAS CHANGED ANYTHING.

You're right Jesus did say,

For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Just because something is hard does not mean someone should just give up without even starting.

I agree 100% and all it takes is to roll back Mathew 7 a few verses from the one you quoted and we find this scripture to support your position..

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."

These are Jesus own words and its a promise, not a suggestion. If you seek JESUS you WILL find him. The door WILL be opened to you.

Thousands of years ago, Jesus didn't exist. So, what did Abraham do? Did he follow Jesus?

You tell us. The question implies you are setting a trap with a strawman.

I'm wondering how did Abraham know about the concept of the trinity or that Jesus died for his sins?

Or Noah? Or any of the previous Patriarchs (let's stick to just Abraham as an example).

How am I supposed to tell you? It's your belief.

Of course you don’t. You don’t know how to debate. You dismissed any relevant information you already know just for the purpose of being difficult. Now you want us to have a circular argument that ends up at the same place every time.

So, what's the answer? Me knowing how to debate isn't the point. Looking for a Christian to explain it to me since I have no idea.

Fair enough I take that and retract projecting that (although I also never claimed that was my belief either).

Low IQ isn't an answer btw. Ironically, didn't Jesus teach people proper manners to your fellow people? If I ask a question, why belittle me?

Not looking for this back/forth that deflects from my question so if you have an answer, I'm interested in hearing it.

It was attempting to put the buggy before the horse in your argument. The question was phrased as if we believed Abraham knew about Christ and the Holy trinity. The post doesn’t say that. Nor did anyone say that. So if Christ didn’t exist, then why is it logical to assume Abraham knew Christ and the Holy Trinity and therefore should have followed him. It was a wild leap, even for an atheist.

It was a dishonest or low IQ question. Choose one

Rekt

See how easy that is. Bro it's no use, they want to live in their dark ages la-la land. Let them, and the world around them along with scientific progress marches on the exact same, regardless of what they think about any of this.
Both lions and tigers are from the same family species..the Felidae family. I cannot believe you either have to be told this, or somehow think that because 2 distinct animals from the SAME family species when crossbreed develop a new species..are you trolling?

There is no fossil record whatsoever of speciation change from one species to another. Bacteria, plants, animals, always remain what they are..show me a distinct line form earliest life form to man..

Jesus came after Abraham. Jesus died for our sins at a time after Abraham came. How did Abraham know that he'd be saved if he didn't have this knowledge? How would he attain salvation?

If it's low IQ, why respond to a low IQ question?

The issue with this, like I said in a previous thread is no way evolution is a "fact". Part of the scientific method is observation and being able to repeat the process.
No one has ever observed evolution (adaptation, perhaps).

The solution then is "oh we humans can't live long enough to see it" is just another way of saying it's not a fact.

This is why when Dawkins was stuck when the scientific method was applied, he had the answer of "we need a long time"

@numbersbrah we aren't doing this again lol
