It actually seems like an unbelievably good book. I'm a bookcel and the guy seems like a decent enough writer based on the summary I presume he wrote.

Basically he seems to say quit fishing for a fairy-tale ending as the statistics of it happening aren't great with the advent of forces that can prevent that.

What I've often said is I've never heard a guy (or girl) call their girlfriend/wife whatever average-looking (or worse) ...yet that is 85% of the population. And thats just the looks component....if you have a complex personality with varied interests/thoughts its even harder to find someone to match with you. This goes for both men and women. Like a female doctor shouldn't have to marry a tradietard just cuz...its sad. Fact is most couples are just pear-shaped simpletons and that's great if that is how you define happiness but if you want something more ...its difficult. I mean become a millionaire for starters just to expand your options in all directions ...but like thats not easy either.

I read a lot of his stuff and may buy this for Kindle later, but he is a little cynical rather than just being realistic. If you read his stuff, you should also read other relationship authors who belive you can find a girlfriend or wife and be happy and compare the two.

Meh. The way I see it, most life on this Earth fails to replicate and mate. Humans were lucky due to success so about 80% of us mate. The rest of us...well...we don't. Theoretically, there is nothing stopping you from impregnating someone and forcing them to have your child besides other humans. But if you were able to outcompete the other humans, you probably wouldn't need to go to that extreme in the first place.

And how many of you even care about having kids? For most, it's just a desire to be loved. And unfortunately, no amount of torture or coercion can make that happen. But love is just a chemical response in your brain. Life is pretty ugly so you may as well get used to it. It's like if you lose a limb or something, you just have to carry on.
