Does Drano work?
Have a sink drain that is progressively getting worse and now almost 100% clogged. Just now poured some Drano and letting it sit there for 30 minutes. Will report back with results.

Creates heat to loosen junk from sticking to your pipes, also uses some acids to dissolve some of those things as well
edit:
I thought your title was asking how it worked lol oops

Yeah but dont use too much at once.
Otherwise they’ll die right away and it raises suspicion.

The only thing I will allow in my restaurant is enzymes that eat away at the gunk.
You put it down drain at night and don’t run any water letting it work through the pipes overnight.
Would do it every few days at start and move down to once a week or for a residential home maybe once every few months.
Drains and bleach will make the problem worse long term.

If you have a clog in your kitchen or bathroom sink, then you can easily open it up and clear the clog manually. Watch this video for how (easy, but make sure you use gloves) :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V2s-RJdNkok
If you have a clog in your shower, then you probably need Drano. If Drano doesn't work (which sometimes happens), then call a plumber to use a snake

Yeah. Run hot water through the pipe for a few minutes first, dump a ton of Drano/similar product down, wait 40+ minutes, and blast hot water through them for another 3 or 4 minutes.Rinse a bit of body wash or somehin down too to really clear the draino residue outta there.
If you got a worse clog than that and a basic snake job can handle, you either need to call a plumber, or really know wtf to do about it yourself from there.
