Yeah because China has no oil and gas industry. Sure. Dumbfuks. I really hope the Russians win this. This new breed of nationalist arrogance needs to be eradicated from the Earth. I'm sick of you people. Seriously. The commies were right. Pls go. This western arrogance will continue to keep the world down and prevent development and prosperity. The west must be humbled.

More like humility and grace to America.

I don't hate my country. I hate what idiots are using it to do. Over the last few decades, our leaders have betrayed the constitution egregiously. They have sold out our people and used them to ill ends. They must be stopped.

Yeah well good luck trying to find a workaround for fuking Siemens turbines, generators, pipeline tech and whatnot. You know, the very same stuff that China, Russia etc have been buying for a while.

"Western tech" sanctions is not exactly no more KFC, iPhones and getting IP banned from World of Warcraft.

Yea because I am sure China/Russia will have a really hard time knocking off a Siemens turbine. Please. In the mean time, I guess Europeans will have to look elsewhere for oil and gas. They are so superior, right?

I agree that they do not agree. It is why they were annexed. Now Ukraine must take them back if they are to re-unify with Ukraine.

I believe the two additional oblasts, now treated like American Somoa/Puerto Rico, were taken as a consequence. I also believe that more consequences are on the horizon if this does not end peacefully. They can sure up what they have and head west to Odessa.

So it looks like Russians have amassed on the Belarusian Border and in and around Belgorod with equipment trains.

Ukraine blew all the roads/bridges to Belarus and mined them.

We do use stuff from China, we source 0 complex components from China. I'm at a natural gas power plant at this very moment and have helped build major pipeline projects, LNG export terminals, worked on $40billion operating plants, and I have done a decent amount of procurement along the way.

This is a national security thing and ensuring that none of our critical infrastructure is using high technology from foreign entities of concern, but the net result is that the top level complex design and manufacturing of these things is not happening in China period. For example the Nordstream turbine that Russia made a big deal about and was being repaired in Canada then held by sanctions, that was made by Siemens and where do you think it was manufactured?

Hey look what I have

You have no idea what's involved in this boyo

That's cool. LOL if you think China couldn't engineer a suitable replacement. China has engineers too. I'm sure your company hires a bunch of them and makes them American. You should know.

Right now people in poland are saying thank god we dont buy chinese bolts as they burn their trash to stay warm

They have no idea what Trump did in that NDAA back in 2017 lol

No parts critical to US infrastructure are allowed.

Then again you don't have to be a semen engineer to understand that the lack of US/West involvement is non-permanent to the ability of Russia/China's own infrastructure and pipeline movement east as opposed to the west.

LOL @ this arrogance. We'll just have to see. I'm sure China and Russia will be able to rectify their dependence on western companies.

This reminds me of how people were so sure "3rd worlders" like the Chinese and Indians could never make nuclear weapons. "Bbb-but that would require a mastery of science and technology on par with us!" - said the Americans, who were educated by Chinese and Indian professors. L M F A O

It's non-permanent but it would likely be a long time before China would be able to produce these things to provide replacements, we have probably worked hard to ensure that access is limited even to the equipment required to manufacture components to the necessary tolerances to produce things like these turbines with the specs needed to operate properly and not quickly vibrate themselves apart.

If you ordered one of these today from Siemens Germany, lead time is probably 1 year+ even with all the equipment and expertise in place.

We'll see what China comes up with. And you'll eat your words and cry. I also know much more about engineering than you, humanitard. Can you explain the finite element method? Can you mathematically show why it works? I can. And do you know who formalized the math behind that method? Galerkin and Sobolev, both Russian btw.
