I think I'm confused about modern warfare games. They made cod MW1/2/3, then they rebooted MW1 into a totally different game and now this new MW2 is the sequel to the MW1 reboot, is this correct?

Haven’t played one in a while but MW2 was my favorite. With that being the case I definitely plan to scoop it up and see what it’s like on the PS5 whole hoping for some nostalgia.
