my uncle catches mad fish and either has fish fries or takes it to the turkish restaurant near his town

he once took a chit ton of fish to my sushi guy and the guy just went for it with different rolls, pieces, some thin sliced in sauce with jalapenos. was pretty fuking awesome

he mostly catches porgies and striped bass. sometimes bluefish

My freezer's currently stocked with trout, salmon, lingcod and striped bass. I'd say fishing has been pretty nice this year. Waiting on dungeness season to open.

The vast majority of fishermen, hunters and golfers I know use the hobby to hang out with the boys and get yucky...

One of my neighbors uses hooks with no barbs on them. When he is sober he will tell you its because its harder to catch the fish and its more challenging. When he has a good buzz after a few beers he will tell you he uses the hooks because 90% of the fish get away which is nice because its too much trouble to take them off the hook.

all hobbies are rinse and repeat, that's the point. it's something you like to do continually.

it's a chance to hang out with some friends or to be alone at peace just sitting out in nature. of all the things to complain about, fishing? there are countless dumber hobbies and i'm not even an avid fisher or anything.
