Long term Russia has ZERO chance of winning especially since they played their ACE card much too early and pushed Europe to alternative energy sources.
Ok I think we have to agree to disagree on this subject. I have explaiend how Russia can easily have a bigger war economy than Ukraine and the West. It comes down to how much of their economies they can dedicate to the war economy.

Morale realy isn't an issue. Morale is a psychological isssue.

Initially many Russians (especially white russians) will see themselves as just part of the wider world (Europe and the Anglosphere). As sanctions start to bite and strikes against Russian territory increase their perspectives will harden and their nationalism will grow.

The most nationalist country I have ever visited is Iran. They knew that there is (was) a great threat against them and they were ready to fight for their own dignity.

Russia also benefit from having large ethnic minority communities who are not so easily influenced by white western narratives. Those cultures have a much more significant warrior culture and do not have any kinship with Western Europe or Ukranians.

You think the Indians and the Chinese think like you, but they don't.

Both countries have territory they want to take themselves and have energy/defence deals with Russia. This is just a show for the white people.

Oh I know how they think, India wants to play both sides and China...well they don't have any other "strong" partners but they're afraid of escalation and also don't want to see ruskis dropping nukes since that will start a nuclear arms race of even the smallest countries...like Taiwan (who are capable of producing nukes btw)

I don't believe Russia is losing or that it will lose this war.

I think we just fiinished a temporary phase of the conflict and actually the best phase for Ukraine. This is when political will for supporting Ukraine is at it's highest in Western Europe and the USA. They will have received the vast majority of weapons they will recieve in this conflict and have the peak of their troop numbers and troop motivation.

During this same phase we had this conflict defined as a Special Military operation. Where Russia had been playing nice.

The following phases of this conflict are going to get much worse for Ukraines military and civilian populations.

I think the counter offensivees by Ukraine were a big mistake. They thought that if they started to 'win' there'd be significant uptick in support and supplies from the West. That hasn't materalised. So they spent a lot of men and equipment for no real gain.

Morale realy isn't an issue. Morale is a psychological isssue.
Like I said and pointed out with OBJECTIVE economic metrics, even if the west ramps up its arms industry a bit it can outproduce and outlast Ruski's war economy with ease. There's no competition. Go ask to any serious economist if you don't believe me.

And morale is a VERY important issue, do you even warfare bro?

Ukraine is turning the tide against "exhausted" Russian forces, the head of Britain's GCHQ intelligence agency will say in a speech on Tuesday.

Despite the missile attacks on targets across Ukraine on Monday, Sir Jeremy Fleming will claim Moscow is running out of ammunition.

He will say President Vladimir Putin's decision-making has proved "flawed".

The intelligence chief will also assert that the UK and its allies are at a defining moment when it comes to China.

The director of the intelligence, cyber and security agency will say the costs to Russia of the war in Ukraine - in terms of both people and equipment - are "staggering" as early gains are now reversed.

"We know - and Russian commanders on the ground know - that their supplies and munitions are running out," Sir Jeremy will say in his speech at the annual Royal United Services Institute security lecture.

He will argue that the mobilisation of prisoners and inexperienced men "speaks of a desperate situation" - and will also directly criticise President Putin as isolated and making mistakes.

"With little effective internal challenge, his decision-making has proved flawed. It's a high stakes strategy that is leading to strategic errors in judgement."

Sir Jeremy also claims the Russian people are now starting to understand the problems caused by what he describes as Putin's "war of choice".

"They're seeing just how badly Putin has misjudged the situation," he will say.

"They're fleeing the draft, realising they can no longer travel. They know their access to modern technologies and external influences will be drastically restricted."

In a speech in March, Sir Jeremy said intelligence had showed some Russian soldiers in Ukraine had refused to carry out orders, sabotaged their own equipment and accidentally shot down one of their own aircraft.

Ok. You believe the west has the poltiical will to divert a significant part of it's economy to producing weaposn for Ukraine and I know they wont. No one cares about Ukraine in the UK anymore and i suspect it is the same across Europe.

I can't speak for the US.

British intelligence is useless. They made many erroenous statements about Syria also. All which turned out to be incorrect. I say that as a British citizen.

Morale is fluid. Like I said i think morale will improve over time not weaken. hard to say for sure though. Like I said Russia also benefits from many Ethnic minorities who will be well up for a scrap, especially if it pays well (i'm sure these regions will expect investment for their fighters).

Lol at this cope.

If europe wouldn't care about Ukraine, they would still be buying gas from Russia and wouldn't put sanctions on Russia. Also the vast majority of european citizens support Ukraine even western euros are starting to hate Russia, in the past they were neutral.

And for the US, well this situation is a win win, that should be obvious.

I think you miscalculate western Europeans.

A lot of WEuros do support Ukraine; they supproted weaponry and sanctions. Now they've mentally moved on, most people are talking about the cost of living crisis and the new government.

The UK went through a economic crisis recently and the pound dropped significantly. I haven't heard anyone mention Ukraine since then. The atmosphere has changed from helping others to fixing our own mess.

My friends energy bill tripled the other week. I don't think he will be mentioning Ukraine again.

When people see things like that they feel like a fool for supporting the things that put them there.

Actually support for Ukraine in western europe is increasing despite the energy crisis in europe. Many polls show this.

Its cute watching yellows cucks cope and seethe hard, pretending like they know wtf they're talking about. Lmfao

From Rybar:

Russian Armed Forces strikes on the energy system of Ukraine:

Could more have been done? Absolutely.

The October 10 attack was relatively humane and hardly affected any critical infrastructure.

As early as tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, power engineers will build emergency circuits at substations and turn generators at nuclear power plants to the maximum. After that, the authorities in Kyiv will make triumphant speeches about a full restoration of the power supply.

But there's a catch: the strikes greatly reduced the energy system's reliability. And it very likely will not survive another such strike: the unified network will collapse into separate islands around power plants. The rest of the country would simply plunge into darkness.

We will say it again: if the goal is to overload the power system of Ukraine for a prolonged panic among the population, to lower the morale and psychological state of the AFU and to win on the battlefield, then such actions must be repeated.
Oh and don't look now but Russian forces have already launched a counter-counter offensive in the East. Lyman is back on the table.

Btw another interesting geopolitical evolution, USA tyring to cozy up with Venezuela, especially since OPEC isn't bending the knee.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-pla...il-11665005719

And Venezuela has most proven oil reserves in the world, almost at 20% of all oil.

Another very important point: "The catch is that the only refineries that can refine their highly sour oil are in the United States."

Damage to the rail span of the Crimean Bridge

Impressive amount of deformation of the steel. I didn't think a simple fuel fire would do that.

Today in Iran, workers strike at Bushehr Petrochemical, chanting β€œDo not fear, do not fear, we are all together.” Striking oil workers played a critical role in the 1979 revolution.

In early 1978 Iran (population 35 million) produced 6m barrels/day. Striking oil workers brought it down to 1.5 m bpd, which collapsed the government.

Today's Iran (population 83 million) produces 2.5m bpd. They can't afford a large/sustained oil strike

Striking Iran petrochemical workers chant: β€œThis is the year of bloody uprising. [Supreme Leader Khamenei] will be overthrown,” Asalouyeh, Bushehr, Oct10, day23 of Iran Protests. This is a major development.
