Friend asked me to go to speed dating event and I said no (srs)

One of my brahs recently told me about some speed dating event with free drinks at some bar near me in 2 weeks time and said he's going, apparently it's like a mini version of 'take me out' (UK brahs will be aware) where you go to do a a recorded interview then show it to the sloots on the day.

The thing is theoretically I could go, but on the day I'm working from 6am till 3pm so will be tired and won't be on my A game. Doesn't matter how much sleep or caffeine I consume I can't mentally function properly after an early shift (the event is at 7pm) I could have a nap after work but it will be too tight plus back st work next day.


Also I'm ashamed to say that I let myself go again, was doing well on my cut and hit 13-14% bf but I let myself go yet again and have barely been to the gym, eating like chit past 6 weeks. Now I have no abs/mini gut, scrawny arms and barely look like I lift anymore.

Plus have a bloated pufferfish face rather than a chiselled jawline/cheekbones. Gonna take longer than 2 weeks to get back in shape.

Right now I have zero motivation to pursue women untill I'm jacked and have a full sleeve tattoos with a thick neck and strong jaw.

Wait so its not a face to face speed dating?? They record an interview then play it to females?

It's face to face on the day, you just do a recorded 'about me' before the event then on the day you meet the girls they play it back on a TV. Apparently there's a smal audience aswell lmao don't think I could cope with that.

If you've ever watched the dating show Take me out you'll know how the format works lol, obviously except this one is a much smaller version.

I always think what do you have to lose besides being afraid you'll get rejected? At the very least it's experience chatting with birds and if you have any game at all you can usually fool around with at least one that night if not get laid very quickly afterwards.

Best way to approach is go through the event and then as soon as you feel good chemistry with a girl there, just grab her and bounce to another place. Then you have the others that picked you as backups.

Funny story, I went to one years ago and did just what I described, but as soon as I got the girl alone I realized she was actually insane. Ditched her, went BACK to the bar the event was at and grabbed one of the other girls that liked me. Her and I banged a week later.

I've done a speed dating session once, it was a complete waste of time.


Looks matter even more in speed dating because you have such a limited amount of time to interact, so the only thing a woman can judge you on is looks. Every minor imperfection on your face or shoes or hair becomes a deal breaker for her because she has no other basis to formulate an opinion of you.


If your face is looking even slightly bloated, I'd say don't even waste your time with it.
