2 houses down the street just sold....both of them smaller sq, smaller lot, one remodeled in 2001, the other not touched since 1991....1 sold for $40k more & the other sold for $37k more than I paid for my larger, bigger lot, fully remodeled in 2019 house 2 years ago.
Another just listed yesterday......fully remodeled, same lot size, roughly the same sq for $74k more than we paid in 2020 with a 2.89% IR
Either way, we most likely wont ever sell this house.....live here for 10 more years, refinance in 2032 when it's worth more than double what we paid, buy another and rent this one out for $3500/month.
Sucks to suck.

Bought in 2017. My house is worth more than double what I bought it for now, and the SAME exact houses are renting for 2000 a month when my mortgage is 930. Can/will take out equity on the house to build another cabin on 6 acres down the road. and rent this house out for double the mortgage. Maybe triple by the time I rent it out.
