Circle jerks (best listened to unironically)

Etc..


I could see maybe coming up with a pop punk label for like the clash, but People who say chit like greenday or blink 182 qualify… don’t listen to punk.

Stuff like the offspring in the 90s just sounds like alternative rock.

Fuk Eric Wilson continuing to live on Bradley’s coattails.

Still remember Long Beach short bus concert on Oahu where those fgts went on some long tirade against drugs that killed Bradley. While security guards were trying to buy crystal from the dealer I was with for the band.

Then goes off on his own completely and give up on creating anything new at all and just plays as a cover band.

Hey. Green Day's 1994 album Dookie was legit.

Other than that, I agree they mostly sucked. But that album was a classic. Not sure I'd call it "punk" music, but it was good stuff.

All that other stuff you mentioned is straight garbage, I agree.

Really? I always thought the whole of punk was a cult. Are you crusty enough? Are you punk enough? Who went the longest without showering? We're so anti-conformist we have a strict set of rules to follow, behaviors to mimic, uniforms to wear, ideologies to regurgitate, etc.

It's not surprise Punk is basically a buncha commies with addictions and bad music taste in 2022. They already kinda were back then, too.

All of those bands are gone now and nothing has replaced them. It make sense, those guys are like 45 now, you cant go up on stage as a 45 year old man doing a nasal beta 12 year old whining voice it would be cringe as hell. so they are forced to not sing anymore.

Sum 41

Are not to be in the same category as the aforementioned punk bands.


Blink was good for a while, as was early Greenday. I'd go and see blink, so long as they played some dude ranch Era songs.

But ease don't call them punk. It is offensive to punk rock
