Watched Hellraiser 1. Pinhead is really androgynous in a BDSM club kinda way, and he is supposed to be a monstrous freak, so a tranny actor actually makes a lot of sense.

I read the original book (in b4 lol nerd, Clive Barker is a good writer though). The characters were written as sexless/androgynous with high pitched voices, so to be fair this remake is more accurate to source material than the very obviously male original Pinhead.

However according to reviews, the original movie > the remake overall, so yeah.
