It's legal here and because I have friends who work there I get everything at 50% off. I also grew some cannabis for the first time this year. I'm always outdoors in the summer and do a lot of gardening so I figured why not? It was kinda of cool and just another hobby to play around with.

Never really been a weed user...I occasionally smoke a little at night to relax and it helps me sleep.

It all comes down to the strain/type you use. Not all weed gets you crazy high to the point you can't function.

I really want to try growing it again but probably not a full hydroponic setup or anything crazy, would just be fun to grow in the garden

Tried growing it in one of my dresser drawers as a teenager but it didn't go far lol

The only reason I did it was because my neighbor brought me one and told me to put it in the ground and see what happens. He grew 9 plants but didn't have room for the one he gave me. Anyhoo, I did pretty good and ended up with 24 mini jars of 3.6 to 3.7 grams in each...what I call a generous 1/8 th LOL...not bad for my first rodeo.

It's zero Calories, affects usually only lasts 2-3 hours (so easy to plan around your schedule), it makes the present feel longer and more enjoyable most of the time, senses feel heightened and everything just feels more important and potent (emotions, both positive and negative feel more dramatic).

If I ever have temptation to drink alcohol, and I smoke/vape/whatever instead, the temptation is 100% gone.

In comparison to alcohol: It's cheaper, "healthier" on the body, zero Calories, zero blackouts, zero hangovers, won't do wild chit due to lower inhibitions. The only positive thing that alcohol has it is can reduce nerves and encourage socialization... whereas weed for me does the polar opposite I wanna just be alone doing my own thing.

Some people say they get munchies from weed, and I guess that's kind of true for me when I first started, but now I get ZERO munchies, in fact it helps me on cuts SRS. Alcohol gives me mad munchies though, those lower inhibitions got me ordering Pizzas, greasy unhealthy fast food, and before I know it I'm 1k-2k Cals deeper than I wanted to be.

For me a more interesting question is if I would do it if it were illegal / unregulated. My answer is 95% no due to ******** and other things it's laced with, including the scares of synthetic weed / K2 causing heart attacks if people remember that. I did it without a care when I was 18-20 with a dealer, then quit in part to the scare of it being laced. Then only got back into it after I got a card.

It's legal where I live, but I no longer consume marijuana. It is nice to have it sold and labeled properly in a store versus meeting some sketchy ass person.

I always wonder though because dispensaries have the best of the best and some of that stuff is strong af...which makes me wonder what the hell is going into it? If you know someone that grows recreational/at home I think it's safer. When I grew mine I kept it simple, sunlight, lots of water and for extra nutrients coffee/coffee grounds. For the last couple weeks I was using overdrive once a week but to honest...don't think I even needed it.

theres lots of hobby growers who buy rare seeds and grow their own hybrids for fun its jjust the seed and quality of grow. You can grow it to produce certain things that enhance the bud but its mostly about the strain.
