Keurig or Nespresso Coffee Makers?

We are on our second Keurig and looking for something else. What are you guys using? Have looked at the Nespresso machines and those look promising but would like to be able to buy off brand pods if possible.

I have a Nespresso Vertuo and a Keurig, and the $1 cost per pod is just too expensive for my coffee habit. You can get k-cups of quality coffee for <$0.30/pod.

You can get some really good coffee out of a Nespresso, but expensive. The Nespresso I have i can get Target pods at a “decent” price and make some good lattes or espresso. My SiL has the expensive Nespresso and the coffees are great but I think some of the big pods are like $2

For morning coffee a Keurig and finding deals on pods is pretty good. I usually have big boxes of costco k cups, and I’ll get some good Peets or something k cups for weekends.

For about a buck more you can get Peets which are slightly better if you drink straight up espresso, i tend to make lattes etc and don’t notice the difference though.

Honest question..Why use those and not a french press?
Takes less space, a lot cheaper, tastier.

Keurig coffee is awful. French press crew. Grind beans fresh everyday.

To be honest I don't love coffee and only drink 1 cup a week but my wife drinks at least a cup a day. We are on our second Keurig that's lasted just a couple of years and I'm tired of spending $150-$200 on these things.

Out of the two? Keurig all the way.
There are a million flavors/options for it. It's great for a fast cup of coffee.

Nothing will be an espresso machine or french press, but I imagine somebody choosing between Keurig/Nespresso is aware of that.

Those pod machines and other cheap coffee makers are all trash. They never make it hot enough brb freshly brewed already cold.

A little more information. I like french press. However, a good filter system is OK too as is the Moka Pot. The trick is having good coffee, ground properly for the system your using (coarse - french press, medium - drip/filter, medium-fine - Moka Pot, fine - espresso). Camping or on a drip I bring a filter drip system with me and find small bags of coffee locally. Illy, Lavazza, Cafe Bustelo are usually safe bets. On Saturday mornings I use he Moka Pot and grind some Italian roast beans that I steal from my daughter. I also have an old Moka Pot that I bring camping and pull some coals over and set the pot on top - very decadent, very good.
