I was going to say probably put a spoiler tag, but the people in this thread have probably seen so many movies even ones that are hidden gems that I'm sure they've seen Saw before.

I remember watching Saw for the first time rented it from blockbuster with my cousin. My mind was fukking blown at the end.

I think this one would qualify. I know we were caught off guard as I recall the teaser didn’t show much at all and it’s very different than we were expecting.

I noticed a lot of screenwriters and directors have really great ideas, but don't know how to conclude the 3rd act. Some great movies begin spectacularly during the first two acts, then it begins to unravel in the 3rd for whatever reasons. These two movies I enjoy very much, but are the prototype of said dilemma

Both just happen to be Thrillers with some comedic elements

How could I almost forget this Incel Horror Movie by son of a Billionaire and oil heir Andrew Getty, who died of a drug overdose in 2015?



This movie also fits in the category of first 2/3s great storytelling, but completely falls apart in the 3rd act unfortunately.

Tales from the Darkside: The Movie (1990) Anthology Horror. The Gargoyle segment is my absolute favorite. It could easily be a full feature film.



Thriller Crime Horror The Bone Collector (1999)



Oculus (2016) Really good. May have to watch it twice, due to the timeline. Director Mike Flanagan is so talented.



Ouija 2: Origin of Evil (2016). Mike Flanagan again with another banger. This is a sequel to the subpar film that debuted in 2014.

Copycat (1995) Crime Thriller Horror about a Killer who mimics Serial Killers of yesteryear



Summer of 84 (2018) Something special about this film to me. I can't place why. In a way, it reminded me of a much more macabre version of The Goonies (The close kinship between the friends, not so much the plot). Teen friends explore and unearth some things about inhabitants of the town they live in.



Intruders (2015/2016) A woman afraid to leave her home unwittingly encounters some unexpected visitors. Another, that is really special to me. I think it's because I would have done the same as her or at the very least aspire to.

Housebound (2014) Fun Comedy Horror from New Zealand



I See You (2019) Decent, but not spectacular. An interesting concept for sure. Two teens phrog different houses, as some criminal investigations of disappearances occur in the backdrop.



RUN (2020) Teen unravels mystery of why she's always ill



Spiral (2007) Another Incel Horror about an office worker, who becomes enamored with his coworker and feels compelled to sketch her.



Upgrade (2018) Really clever Action/Sci-fi from Leigh Whannell that I feel was criminally underrated and should have gotten the praise and box office profits that Whannell's The Invisible Man (2020) received.

A Beautiful Mind (2001) The life of Schizophrenic Genius Mathematician, John Faber Nash Jr.



RIP to James Horner who composed the score to this film.

James Horner died in a small plane crash of his private turboprop aircraft on June 22 2015, in which he was the only occupant. Oddly enough, only a month and a day prior on May 23, 2015 John Forbes Nash Jr. and his wife Alicia died in a car crash.

A.I. (2001) Damn fine film that leaves the eyes teary. Loneliness. Abandonment. Feeling like you have no place in this world. I honestly want a spin off tv series that explores the adventures of Gigolo Joe, David and Teddy.

Little Children (2006) by Todd Field. If you have seen Eyes Wide Shut, and you recall the role of blindfolded pianist, Nick Nightingale, he is the Director of this film. He's really talented and has a unique creative vision. I wish he directed more movies. It's a tale of two couples lives intertwined. Exploring the dysfunction rife in Suburbia.
