Good. When I lost my job I took like 8 months off for myself, took 4 months worth of unemployment, got like +20k so my bills were paid for a long time, and had a blast. Definitely good for my well-being.

Can confirm. Recently quit my job, but promotions were released prior.

They promoted a VP to Director without selling a single product - Big ****gy initiatives guy
They passed over our top producing VP who isnt bought into the ****gy initiatives to promote the other guy
They didnt even entertain our top producing associate for a promo

In our sub group, which had the VP to director promotion, I was the leading producer and I was told I needed to engage outside of producing in order to see any promotion opportunities, all while having a capped bonus. I quit that shyt on the spot.

enjoy your time off OP, but definitely make sure you have some income if your savings arent in check. I'm at month 4 and thinks arent dire yet... but I should have changed my spending habits a little more when the big checks stopped coming.

Im not an idiot, ive been keeping track of all these layoffs for months. In fact, my company just had a first round of layoffing a few people TWO WEEKS ago.


Of course they told us 'thats it guys its over now, we just need to recalibrate but now we're good'.

Not even 2 weeks later just lol.

in this economy.....my plan is to rot until the new year. Things will probably just get worse so I'm likely on that NEET life for the foreseeable future.

I did too starting Monday. I have a part time job at fed ex. Right now they have holiday incentives and will let you work as much as you want. I’m going to try and get unemployment and 30 hours there. That would be sweet

That's what i'm worried about is almost every company is clown world now. But anything will be better than that unless it's a retail or a factory. Funny thing is i used to love my job and had no anxiety there pre clown world. What i do know is these people are kicking the hard working honest people out the door as quick as possible because i'm not the only one experiencing it. It's been ongoing for years. People are getting more greedy and aggressive out there man srs.

Yeah people are absolutely on edge now and it's scary af. People talk about crime but sometimes I think it's less about law enforcement and more about the morale among society. People have nothing to loose and are beyond frustrated so they lash out.

Companies just virtue single. Look how many companies literally shut down operations in Russia just to act like they're being righteous. It's not even about being productive or bringing good service. It's just about making a statement and having an image. "Oh look at us, we have the most gays and most women/minorities/etc." Meanwhile prices are going up to make up for lower volume and meet earnings.

Honestly, this is testament to your personality. Your personality with dating is to GIVE UP AND ROT when facing resistance and so thats the same personality with your career. A medium-hard obstacle and you GIVE UP AND ROT. I'm not saying this won't be difficult, but you have your best chance right now for the next year or two, to pretend you're still employed and build some relationships - AND you're not doing it.


Other Miscers would fight like crazy even if there's a 10% chance while that window of opportunity is closing.

This is true. My company is currently on a hiring freeze.

I work in the finance dept, so I already know who's about to get the axe. It's gonna be at least a 20% reduction in every department. And all temps will let go as well.


This is a coordinated hiring freeze across all companies in America through at least December.
