I used to when I was perscribed. It aint chit its just mentally terrifying. The first time after you do it, its nothing. It doesnt even hurt after it gets past the skin.
You can do the upper ass. But I found the upper left deltoid easier. Take two finger and place it just below your collar bone end at your deltoid parallel to the floor. Inject at below the two fingers wide in the center. I always aspirated (pull back on the plunger) to make sure I wasnt in a vien. And it did get into one once so it can happen.
You cant really fukk it up. Just mustter up one second of courage and stick it in.

large muscles deep muscles easy to pin , probably done it 400 times now aint nuthin but a peanut
never had an issue, no infections or anything, hit a nerve maybe 5 times, maybe 3 squirters
GH is fun when you inject everyday sometimes 2x a day
I know guys now who get tons of other non ped stuff they inject like glutathione and l carnatine and stuff inject like 3x a day everyday 4x on PED days

theres a spot, like around your love handle area, where you'll never feel it or hit a nerve. ventroglute i think. also low chance of hitting nerve in glute proper as long as you stick to the outside.
quad is the easiest but you'll hit a nerve eventually and it will be boy howdy.
