some ppl havent been paying for over 6+ months and they cant get evicted cuz order of posssesion takes 8+ months and also guvment said no evictions during 2 years of covid. Also no rent increase.

Can someone explain to me how not paying rent shows up on your credit report?

Hint, it requires a court judgement, not somebody simply saying "hey, he owes me money". 99% of the time it isn't worth it in lawyer bills for landlords to pursue damages or unpaid rent, and even if they actually get in front of a judge another 90% of the time the tenant can claim undue hardship or mental illness and walk away. The system (at least here in Canada) is insanely skewed towards tenants.

Oh, and that court date takes 6-9 months to get on average anyway.
