It’s not hard to show up for a legitimate job and earn decent money.

I ended up living back in my hometown, was just a coincidence that I accepted a promotion and the role brought me back.

Some of my old friends (now acquaintances at best) sell hard drugs. Seems like a depressing grind tbh. Maybe they get the occasional windfall, but they don’t have much to show for it.

Most gangsters are grinders too.
