Longest misc shutdown of all time.

No backup misc working (numisc, f i t misc)

Complete failure that could have been avoided with better planning.

Tl;dr from the little bit I could gather is Bodybuilding.com’s data center crashed. Bodyfit was down too. Tons of paying subscribers complained on their social media.

It took all weekend for them to acknowledge they were offline. Apparently the team was working diligently through a power outage. In reality they probably scrambled to hire the first IT guy in a decade and the “data center” is a dusty floppy disk.

But in all srsness they were bombarded by miscers too and BB.com showed commitment to keeping the misc around through all of this srs.

i was hoping it was part of the "forum upgrades" they announced last year but never actually did.

Yeah the 25 year old server finally crashed. No alerting. Had to wait for ****** to go into the datacenter Monday morning and see the red light for anyome to know it crashed when the 386 processor died.
