So, let me make it simpler, what was your first shot of the primary series, BNT162b2 or Comirnaty?

Just reply either

BNT162b2

Or

Comirnaty

Feel free to copy and paste those words right into your reply.

Anything other than a single word in your reply will just confirm that you're deflecting because you know it was misinformation all along.

GST is, itself, a VAT. It was a replacement for the hiddenMST. Yes, the rate was lowered on some things, but as you yourself said, applied more broadly. Can you conclusively say one way or the other whether the new GST ended up raising more or less funds than the previous MST?

Would you care to explain the background on how/why Canada was so far in debt leading up to this?

Gee did you look up the wikipedia entry for Canada GST? Good for you. The MST was a VAT tax. The GST is a VAT tax. Do you even know what the term VAT even means?

Dum dum, you can look up who created all that debt. And perhaps lobotomize yourself afterwards, you condescending loser.

Do you even know how GST is remitted?

Hmmm. Dunno how familiar you are with the current situation in Ontario (thread topic), but it's seems perhaps not so familiar.

It's the "mild" flu, "mild" RSV, together with "mild" covid that has us with no pediatric ICU space.

Covid was never as symptomatically dangerous as Influenza to otherwise healthy persons, only more contagious

The latest strains often get confused with allergies or present no symptoms at all

Nope. I said I got Pfizer.

Might go moderna for the bivalent when/if it's offered here though.

You've held the position that the vaccine changed fundamentally with the marketing name change for some time now, but have yet to support that position.

TLDR: If they had children's medication on the shelves at pharmacies, this would be less of an issue.

Since most burgercels don't follow our news:

Canada - specifically Ontario - is having hospital issues, with emergency care being on the rise; however, they are only ever speak of hospitals being over-capacity for pediatric (children's) care. This is because since March 2022, there has been a shortage of all children's medication - Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, etc. They don't have them on the shelves at stores; and your best option is asking a pharmacist for some.

Since parents cannot get medication for their children, the only place to go is the hospital. This is causing the hospital to have rising cases. Some of these issues can be resolved at home if they had OTC medication; but they don't.

This has nothing to do with COVID, or the lack of funding in the hospitals. It's a whole other issue that the Government refuses to acknowledge because it will upset a specific province.

Except kids aren't hospitalized or admitted to ICU because they don't have ibuprofen.

I agree that demand for medication outpacing supply is indicative of a community health crisis though.

Children who need to be in the hospital will go to the hospital - just like they did in the past. If your kid is sick, your first point of contact is your family doctor. If they cannot help you, they will tell you to go to the hospital. If parents have no medicine, and their kid has a fever, they have nothing else to do but see if the hospital can treat it.

I don't know why this wasn't an emergency back in March when we couldn't find medication, but now it's coming down hard and people are blaming everyone but the root cause.

Hmmm.

ICU capacity in southwestern Ontario suggested otherwise.

Edit: perhaps we're conflating separate issues.
1) Wait times in ER's are currently ridiculous.

2) Pediatric admissions are at a historical high

3) PICU's are full

It always kills me how when someone asks you a question it's suddenly "not relevant" but you ask others questions over and over again that have nothing to do with the thread expecting an answer.

It's because the labels aren't in French and English. Our government is too spineless to tell French people to jump in a lake when it comes to importing things that could help our overwhelmed health care system.

I swear the first party that tells Quebec to just go away and we are done with all the French BS will have my vote for life.

I never said that neither GST nor MST were VATs. I was merely being more specific than you, and asking for more specificity. You said that the GST didn't help all that much. Okay, fine - but to what degree, one way or the other? I brought up the GST as well as the high tax rate in Canada for liquor as reasons that there should be plenty of money going into the healthcare system up there, to say nothing of income tax. I would be more interested to know just how much $$ is supposed to be going into the healthcare system up there versus what actually is, and what it is being used for, etc. Why are there the doctor and nursing shortages, etc etc?

I kinda love how I haven't sent a single abusive comment your way, but I'm literally tallying them up coming from you. Should count for something, I would think.

And I was aware of this being the "common narrative" as to why there is a shortage of children's analgesics and such.

FWIW I've also come across posts claiming that the supply of children's medication is being manipulated and that is isn't simply a labeling problem.

You might think that if it is just about the labels that the head rat catcher would consider printing labels that could be stuck on at the pharmacy. Heck, with cell phone you could probably paste on a QR code to be scanned that could link to product directions in multiple languages and in a font size that can be read without a magnifying glass. The main problem is actually that we have too many bureaucrats and not enough doctors and nurses. It's not as much a question of funding as it is where the money is spent, but that won't change because the bureaucrats want to protect their cushy jobs, so here we are.
