Almost all of his projects are subsidized by American taxpayer money because he sells the government that same snake oil about "evolving humanity." He is a capitalist oligarch who is making himself rich by hiring engineers and paying them to wildcat-- Tesla, the Boring Company, Space X, etc.

I'm happy to say that he's an innovative oligarch or that he's made some wise investments, but he hasn't invented or engineered any of the "revolutionary" technology that you're giving him credit for. He's not Henry Ford, he's Warren Buffet.

I think it's fair to say that without him, most of this technology wouldn’t be here (yet) and that he's the driving force behind all those companies.

Of course he's not in the workshops welding sht, he's coming up with disruptive, innovative business ideas and executes. And if he can sipphon money from the currupt US government and actually put it to good use for once, then well played.

Not saying that "improving humanity" is necessarily his main objective but he's certainly contributing towards it (technologically).

You do realize that not all of twitter employees work on the website, yes? There are marketing people, management, HR, legal, finance, sales. I'm not saying all 7500 were needed (because I don't know that and neither do you), but you seem to have a myopic view of how tech companies work.

Twitter has physical sites servers in several locations (that's how big tech companies roll to avoid mass outages). The sites and servers need people for maintenance of hardware (servers etc.), building maintenance, security
