I answered the poll as if it were me answering for myself as I am today. The $, easily.
As a teenager? The full college ride, especially if I got to pick the school.

Neither. I'd get a good trade job and make a million by age 30.

Depends on aptitude, if they're more applicable to a trade route like a sparky or something that doesnt require a degree (photographer for example), take the 75k spend 25k on relevant education/equiptment to get started. Invest the remaining 50k, in a decade when they've learned their trade, that investment is now 90k which can be used to either get a loan or directly invest in a business.
If they want to go stem, health care, etc. Theyre probably going to make 75k their first year out

Acting like healthcare is an unknown cost when they pay the debt from taxes anyway after wiping out individual net worth?

I'm combining both ATM, brah. It's a good life.
How? I have a PhD stipend which pays about 28k tax-free per year, and on top of that I do a bit of side work like adjunct lecturing, marking etc. which nets a little over 1k a week in gross income. Equates to around what a 75k wagecel would earn in a week, which isn't bad at all for studying and not working full time.

With my current knowledge? I could easily turn that $75k into a lot more.
Tbh, I probably would have used it for a downpayment or something even then, so I def would have taken the cash. In many respects, going to college gave me poorer financial knowledge.

Give me the $75k.
I'll work my butt off to get my own scholarship + grants. Will come out ahead with little debt and $75k cash to buy a house.

75K. I'd use it to buy or as a down-payment on a local small business that someone has already built up and wants to offload.
Try and slide into a business that will get me an income of 75-100K per year. Live minimalist and stack as much cash as possible. By 20-21 try to pick up a second small business and/or sell that one and buy a bigger/better one. Rinse and repeat.
I know three guys that did this. Basically just buy small local businesses that are already running smoothly. Needless to say they have a ton of free time and pretty much just need to manage the managers for their businesses. I'm really not sure why this method isn't discussed more. As you don't need a high risk start-up venture or any great deal of genius or experience. Just cash and a little bit of common sense.
Doesn't even have to be anything crazy. A little oil change spot here. A chain gym/fitness center there. Etc. Basically just small businesses in your area that are already running just fine that the owner needs to offload. A ton of guys own a bunch of these small spots that cash-flow and eventually they want to sell/offload them for cash.

You'd be stupid to not take the scholarship
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."
