How is this possible when unemployment is only like 4%?

It's not even just black friday, I feel like every single day is like that

Roads are packed, stores are full, beaches, everything. Idk how so many people are not working. Sure they can be self employed or millionaire but by the looks of them and their behavior, they are mostly angry degens speeding, cutting people off, fighting, etc.

I swear it wasn't like this 5-10 years ago

had lunch yesterday with a couple buddies and we were just talking about how every Walmart and Target seems to be full of dirt poor people walking around with 3 carts full of groceries/homegoods/etc...I don't even understand how it is all possible.

and everyone in those stores - which is why I don't go into them - behaves the way you describe people behaving on the road, except with their shopping carts.

I don't know where they get the money from or what they are so angry for. People who behave in such a manner typically don't do well for various reasons. Everything has gotten very expensive so they must be maxing out credit cards which is a whole other issues in itself.

They take the concept of NPC to a whole new level.

It's never been easier to be a NEET. Unemployment may be low, but the labor participation rate is only 62%, so there's a huge % of the pop just doing nothing but somehow are able to go out to eat and shop all day. Its mind bottling.

I don't understand how they can do this. When I work from home 2x a week I'm on the computer with nonstop work and messages and have no time to go outside during the day and someone would try to find me and get angry if they can't. I guess they have different type of jobs.

It's Tuesday and I've been out most of the day and every place is somehow packed. Roads are packed full of cars. In the late 2000s I used to go out during the day all the time and the streets were mostly empty. Now it's like every day I'd Saturday. Hell I'm out now and there are huge groups of people and homeless people everywhere lol

Alot of people are off this week, I'm off Tuesday-sunday.

Also everyone has been sitting on cash because there is a notion of an imminent economic collapse and everyone thinks everything will be on sale after a crash. People sitting on cash waitng for the housing bubble, used car bubble, retail bubble, etc etc

Yep, it's like this in Seattle. There was a major shift pre-covid vs post-covid. I have had the luxury of WFH for the past 5 years and always avoided busy times whether it was the gym, grocery shopping, etc. Post-covid, these non-busy times no longer exist.
